Ch-124:Convincing the King[2]

The King appeared to be calm despite the internal turmoil he must be going through as his tired eyes looked at Raon and Lia with an inquisitive look.

Despite his seemingly haggard state when compared to their last meeting, the King was oozing out an air of authority and regality.

The regal red robes overlaying his silverish-white set of clothing accentuated the aura around him as he broke the daunting silence.

"I assume you have concluded the investigation."

His voice didn't carry the tiniest hint of worry, anxiety, impatience, or any emotion except serenity. As a proper ruler should, he controlled his emotions and appeared unfazed, but the Royal Advisor had already given himself away.

Usually, it wouldn't be like that, but Raon had startled the Royal Advisor with his sudden words, causing him to flinch and reveal his hidden emotions.

"Yes. It will be a long tale."
