Chapter 1: The Beginning
Alex's POV
Flashback on
I'm standing in front of the door and waiting for this door to open. My friend, he type something inside his computer. "Come on!" He groans.
I took a deep breath and looking at surround us. Shit. I shouldn't rush on anything. "How long you can unlock the door, Septhic?!" He keeps typing in the keyboard as glancing at me. Argh! I changed the radio frequency to kept the guard's track towards us.
"Someone tries to breach the vault!" Shit. I'm looking at my friend, who tried to hack the password. I rolled my eyes, pulled him. There's no time to wait.
I took out my sticky bomb and put surround the door. What's behind the door? I hope it's worth the risk. I pulled him to take cover and press the trigger. Loud blast sound, fire followed by a smoke and the door ruin.
"Bro, what the fuck is that!?" Sephtic look pissed. There's no time to wasting here.
"We already busted by the guards." I took out my gun and glared at him. I feel something was off. How they knew we were here?! "Are you already disable the camera, motion sensor, and everything they used to... protect their vault!?"
Septh took a deep breath and sighed. "We already been working together for 4 years, Alex!" Fuck. I shouldn't accused him to become a rat.
Argh! Never mind. Red Sentinel should be responsible for their action. I'm looking at him a holographic ID appears.

I furrowed my brow and looking at him. Why his name, prestige, and his bank account.... no, it's not what I'm thinking! This is crazy! "You lose your prestige, Seph!?" Seph took a glance at me as we put our mask and start shooting the drone.
"What do you think!?" He asked.
I run to the tray with full of C-Coins and filled them to my duffle bag while he kept the drone busy. "A-Alex, get out as soon as you can. It's a…" I heard a glitch sound from my earbud. Ugh! It's hurting my ears. I took off the earbud and cut the communication.
"Alex!" I'm looking at Sephtic strolled his way to me as he pointed his gun to the drone. Shit. I should hearing her. "There's no way out! We should..."
I gripped my hand and clenched my jaw. I threw several of my smoke grenades to them and start cutting the the steel floor. Something was wrong since the beginning. I'm looking at Sephtic, who still shooting the drones. "Hurry up, Lexie! I'm running out of bullets!"
My hand was shaking as the sweat dripping from my face. "We running out of time! Come on!" I jumped several times and we fell to the ground. Oh, fuck my back. Argh! I'm looking at my surrounding and this... is not a tunnel?
Where are we!? I tried to re-connect the communication again. Not again! Argh! Septh try to light up his flashlight. "I think my... flashlight running out the battery."
Now, we were trapped in the pitch black. I don't know where is it! There's no signal and... I heard footsteps from behind us. "Alex, what are you..."
I kept fingering my way to the sound, but before I reach that. A bright light suddenly turned on automatically. What is this place!? I kept my pace and looked at my surrounding as Septh followed me from behind.
I should get the hell out from here and not doing any crime for awhile. I'm looking at my watch and sighed. Alexa, wait me home. "Are you okay?" I did not answering Septh's question. "Alex,"
Septh called me and stopped in front of a room.
I furrowed my brow and approached him. "I'm sorry." What? Why you... the door opened and showed a guard with a baton on their hands.
I run as fast as I could, but seems like I'm running in circle. "There's no point you can escape now!" This voice... a heavy footsteps heard from the distance. "Hi, we met again."
I gripped my hand and glared at him. "You..." I want to punched his face. All of his bodyguard pinned me down. With their armor, they can as easy as to defeat me.
"This a way you repaid me, Septh!? I gave you a job, prestige, money, and my loyalty. So, this is how you repaid me, Septh!?" His bodyguard keep punching me until my vision become a pitch black. There are the only memories I remember since that day...
Septh is a traitor!

7 years later…
Alexa POV
"Your ID." I put my hand on the scanner. "Access granted. Welcome to Hallaway club, Ms. Cristine." The bouncer opened the door for me. From the outside, this building just an ordinary futuristic architecture. People goes to Cyberxia just for looking for a dime, fame, and power. The City of The Rich, they said.
"Can I take your order, miss?" ask the bartender.
"Whiskey, please." I said as sit on the barstool. I support my chin and looking at my surrounding. This world already grow fast. When technology, money, and power combine into one. We can rule all over the world. Red Sentinel already took all across the nation with their power, money, and technology to rule this world.
The bartender put a glass of whiskey in front of me with a bowl of Macedonian peanut. "Enjoy." I'm looking at the circle doorsill and sighed. Ironic, isn't it? Gambling your money is the way you can rich fast.
I chug my whisky and flip the glass up side down. "Do you want to close your tab?." I shook my head as I'm walking to observed every move he make. The DJ play the electronic dance music with visualizer sync with the beat their played on the wide screen. People on the dance floor keep dancing following the beat. Some of them spending time smooching on their seat, and some of them just sitting on the bar to enjoy the drink.
I looked at up and notice he calling someone as he watching the dancefloor from that section. I took a deep breath and walking to the VIP section. "Stop there. There's VVIP guest on the VIP Lounge. My..."
"Tell Mr. Pierre, I bring something for him." I said. One of the bouncer walking upstairs to inform their client. As I'm waiting for him to come, I decide to rolled up my sleeve.
He seems noticing my tattoos. "You were in military before, ma'am?" I'm nodding my head.
"I served in 901st battalions. From Earth to Mars. You also from a military before?"
He nodding his head. "Hoorah!" We said in sync. The other guy approaching us in hurried. "He said you can come up stair to meet him."
I'm nodding my head and walking up stairs. "Lynx, I'm already in VIP Lounge. Where's my target?" I tried to act normal like I'm carrying his stuff.
"He's wearing a blue Hawaiian shirt. Please, be careful! He brings his bodyguard." Nice job, Lynx. I'm walking approached them casually as I shoot them on the head. I slammed the door open and showed he pushed the girl.
"Wh-who the fuck are you!?" I did not answer his question. There's not point talking to him right now. I put my suppressor on my gun and shooting telephone on the wall, then his leg. "Argh!" I'm walking approaching him as he whining and cursing.
I'm looking at the girl sits next to him. Her body almost completely naked and trembling. "Seriously?" I shoot his chest twice and his head. She screams and widened her eyes as she watched blood all over the couch.
I covers her body with bloodstain blanket, then looking into her eyes. "I'm here to save you," the girl trying to get away from me. I picked his phone, then showed her the screen. "Do you know his password?" She shook her head.
Shit. "Lex. We should hurry!" Lynx try to remind me what I came for. I shoot the window, then escape from this place.
I'm running to the alley. I get inside of my car, and turn on the engine. I stepped on the gas and run away as fast as I can from the crime scene. That girl... I think I should have a word with her.
