You Will Regret It

Chen Ru was surprisingly reliable when the situation called for it. By noon, he had successfully poured the holy water into the tanks containing clean water which would flow throughout the entire village, though it was mainly due to the fact that the area was left completely open and unguarded, as the villagers wouldn't possibly suspect that anyone intended to tamper with them.

With their plan in motion, all they could do now was wait.

But Song Zhuyu didn't stay idle either. He walked around to investigate and discovered that Su Hai's house was bustling with activity. Women came and went, either to deliver food, hot water, or to help with household chores. Ma Xiaocai wasn't exaggerating when she said they had plenty of helpers.

With the amount of people present, it would be impossible for Song Zhuyu to slip in unnoticed, let alone doing anything to the baby.
