39. Hoax

Ent did not attack Claude even though they were angry, but Claude felt his breath grow short being surrounded by them and unable to escape.

As the day turned into night, at night the trees did not release oxygen but absorbed it, making Claude feel suffocated, especially with the trees surrounding him.

"My horse ran away, what should I do? How can I get out, who will help me?" Claude murmured inwardly.

Kane was still hiding there since Claude lost his horse. He dared not show his face because Claude would surely run further away. But on second thought, he felt sorry for Claude, his beloved.

"You just need to say the keyword, 'Kane help me,' and I will immediately help you," Kane said from his hiding place, his heart full of anticipation.

Claude thought it was Ent who spoke to him, so he answered without suspicion. "Oh, is that so."
