Looking at her opponent, Remy felt as if everything that had happened to her recently was a good joke.

Disclosing her emotions to Harvey.

Being a formal couple.

Having a moment of self-realization.

And now… this?

Rica Aguilar is a girl who asked her for a duel a few weeks ago.

Remy easily defeated her, so she assumed that her battle would be simple.

Unfortunately, she was mistaken, and she realized it as soon as the match began.

Her body is shrouded in ominous aura.

Remy is surprised to see this on Rica.

The audience has no idea what is going on, but the barrage of Rica's attack makes their hearts race, getting them excited about their battle.

Remy is a marksman archer, while Rica is a fighter, according to the information, but the scene clearly shows that Rica is a mage fighter.

If it were a week ago, this would be an easy fight, but Remy is struggling to avoid her attacks.

Fast and powerful.

Remy's instant movement magic could no longer match Rica's sprinting magic.

Sprinting magic is lower tier than instant movement magic, but Rica is a fighter, and sprinting magic helps her martial arts become much faster and stronger.

Remy's mana is slowly draining as the seconds pass.

Remy's vision is becoming blurry as she evades Rica's fist attacks.

This is not good.

If this continues, she may lose.

She promised herself that she would become stronger so that she could stand beside Harvey, but what is she doing now?

She questions herself about how ridiculous her situation is.

Rica threw a punch at Remy, almost hitting her in the face.

Remy needs to discover her weakness as soon as possible, but she is too quick.

Remy noticed Rica was gritting her teeth for a moment.

Rica is concealing the fact that she cannot hold the magic she is holding.

Rica drank an artificial mana potion that recreated her body's mana veins in preparation for this battle.

Unfortunately, this is only temporary and can be used once.

Rica initially refused this potion, but someone in a black cloak decided to give it to her for free.

She succumbs to temptation, and her life is now in the midst of death.

Rica is unaware that the potion has ten times the effect, and as a result, the backlash is tenfold.

Rica felt another pain in her body and slowed down, gritting her teeth once more.

"There!"

Remy shouted.

Before Rica could recover, an arrow hit her neck.

"What the…"

Her lifeless body falls down and the winners has been announced.

Going back to their room, Harvey greet his girlfriend with a congratulation but Remy wanted his hug so he decided to give it to her.

"Get a room."

Samantha couldn't hold back to comment.

"Anyway, you're the last participant in our club."

Samantha talks while looking at Alex, not bother by the situation he is in.

"Are you worrying about me?"

"No."

"Then close your mouth."

Alex become different person when it comes to Samantha.

He is too comfort around her, different to the comfort that he felt to other woman he have.

Despite that, their chemistry is very fit.

Nothing to do, he decided to go out and use the restroom.

After using the restroom, a black haired man walk in.

Nothing happened and Alex walk out.

Rather than walking back to his designated room, Alex go around the corner, somewhere a far from the arena.

This place mostly couldn't be visit by anyone because of how far and isolated it is.

After all, it's very dangerous to go in theses places.

This fact has been proven when the man earlier arrived behind him.

"I thought you wouldn't noticed me…"

The man asked as Alex turn around and look at him.

"This is not the first time we met Mr. Moriarty."

Jake Moriarty.

The man's black haired turned into a blonde as he take off his hat.

Alex is not surprised by it.

It feels like yesterday when Alex visit the Imperial Han Country but in fact, it's only been a few weeks.

Alex met Jake when he is trying to uncover the attack on the island.

He thought that he died but it seems that he is living very well.

"Are you here for revenge?"

"Revenge? How can I do that?"

"Just drop your facade."

In Jake's perspective, Alex attacks him and his people without any reason.

He might have his Fortune Teller app but the reality that something didn't happen is a canon.

"I'm serious. I'm not here for revenge. In fact, I'm here to warn you... The emperor is targeting you."

"The emperor?"

"That's only I wanted to say."

Jake takes out a jade stone.

"You can say this is my repayment for not killing me. Now that I repay you, we're no longer has any connection."

Then he disappeared without any trace.

Jake appears to have some sort of teleportation stone.

Alex truly believed that he had killed Jake, but it appears that he misinterpreted that he had let him go.

He did not feel as though he had lost anything, but rather gained something.

Anyway, Alex no longer cares about him; Jake is just a pawn, and the emperor appears to be the king in this chess match.

He just hopes they are not playing "go" or "shogi" because he has no idea how to play those games.

Alex has no pawns, but he does have his club members.

Remy, his temporary bishop, and Harvey, his temporary knight, are joined by Samantha, the club's president.

Now that he thinks about it, what piece would be appropriate for Samantha?

"Rook? Yeah, rook. It is impossible for her to be the queen."

Meanwhile…

"Ha… Ha…Achoo!"

Samantha felt a sneeze coming on as she watched another battle in the communication orb.

After she sneezed, she felt like someone had mentioned her name somewhere, and she was irritated for no apparent reason.
