Always schould Pass the Mother-in-law‘s Test

Fortunately, Hanna had a strong and resilient spirit, and her ability to withstand setbacks was impressive. As soon as the barbecue started, she completely forgot about the previous incident.

"Olivia, honestly, your new Porsche Cayenne is really stunning. Can I borrow it for an Instagram post later?"

"Sure."

After finishing the barbecue, the three of them went to the parking lot. Hanna, without hesitation, sat directly in the driver's seat, taking random shots. After capturing enough content for Instagram, she reluctantly got out of the car, holding Olivia's arm, urging her to go shopping.

Since Olivia had nothing else to do, she had planned to accompany Hanna for shopping. However, she unexpectedly received a call from her mother, instructing her to come home for dinner in the afternoon.

Olivia's home was in a suburban rundown neighborhood, a two-hour journey from their current location. Despite the inconvenience, Olivia couldn't refuse her family's request, so she bid farewell to Michael and Hanna, heading home alone.

Although Olivia had passed her driving test, she hadn't received her license yet, so she had to take the subway back.

Meanwhile, Hanna and Michael each went their own way after leaving the parking lot.

After parking the car in the underground parking lot of the neighborhood, Michael headed towards the residential area. Halfway there, he noticed a Ferrari LaFerrari parked on the neighborhood's road, attracting the attention of several residents.

"If I'm not mistaken, that's a Ferrari LaFerrari!"

"In this rundown neighborhood where most residents are working-class, how can someone afford such a luxurious car? Could it be that some lucky guy caught the boss's eye and got a special favor?"

"It seems quite likely!"

Two security guards, smoking cigarettes, discussed the situation. A janitor nearby joined the conversation, "Is this car expensive?"

The security guard glanced at her, "Not expensive."

"I knew it. This car looks much shorter than the others, definitely cut corners in production. How could it be expensive?"

"...Just a little over 20 million!"

"???"

The janitor was startled by the security guard's response, and even dropped her mop, "I may not be educated, but don't lie to me!"

"Don't believe it? Go ask your son!"

"..."

"The 502 in No.3 for this community, I just went up to check, and there was no one. Make a call."

Beside the Ferrari LaFerrari, one staff member guarded it, while another, catching his breath, came out from No. 3.

The staff took out his phone, flipping through the contacts, and curiously commented, "Isn't this strange? This community is just for external workers. I've noticed the cars parked at the entrance are all junk. How can someone afford a Ferrari LaFerrari here?"

"There are "hidden dragons and crouching tigers" everywhere these days. Can't someone buy a LaFerrari?"

"So True!"

Listening to their conversation, Michael confirmed that the LaFerrari was indeed his. He approached them, smiling, "Hello, I'm Michael Anderson."

"You're Mr. Anderson?"

The staff member was about to make a call when he unexpectedly heard Michael greeting them. He paused, scrutinizing Michael.

Tall and slim, fair-skinned, Michael didn't look like a wealthy person at all in his casual attire. However, in a city like Nexington where hidden talents abound, wealthy people could have peculiar tastes, sometimes even preferring street market clothes.

After politely verifying Michael's identity, the staff member handed him the car keys, "Mr. Anderso, we've taken care of the insurance and maintenance procedures for your car. If it gets dirty or damaged, feel free to visit our shop anytime. We are at your service!"

"You provide excellent service."

Michael smiled and twirled the car keys around his finger, feeling in a good mood, "Did you drive here? How do you plan to get back?"

"Uh..."

Unexpectedly, Michael, a wealthy individual, cared about such a small matter. The two staff members were taken aback and felt a bit embarrassed. "We'll take the subway."

"Here's a 200 dollars tip for each of you. Take a taxi back."

Earlier, for the sake of communication convenience, Michael had saved both their numbers. He handed two hundred dollar bills to each of them.

Unexpectedly, just giving away the car resulted in an additional windfall. The two were pleasantly surprised and expressed their gratitude.

Michael waved his hand, got into the car, and drove away.

"This guy has good manners, he must come from a wealthy family."

The two looked at the red envelopes in their hands and sighed after exchanging glances.

Their company dealt in luxury car sales, encountering wealthy individuals frequently. These individuals either carried an arrogant attitude or remained aloof. Michael, however, was different, his kindness and concern made them feel comfortable, as if he were a friend.

Such wealthy people, who were low-key, gentle, and well-mannered, were a rare breed, and not every wealthy family could raise someone like that.

"Driving a LaFerrari is truly exhilarating. No wonder so many people dream of owning a sports car!"

Sitting on the ergonomic LaFerrari seat, Michael circled around the neighborhood, feeling incredibly comfortable and relieved.

The LaFerrari was a convertible, lightweight, and had outstanding performance. Driving in traffic would undoubtedly be enjoyable.

Of course, casual drives would be great too.

Tonight, he planned to take his wife for a drive!

As Michael was thinking about this, he received a call from Olivia. Her voice sounded anxious, "Michael, it's a disaster. My mom found out my ID is missing!"

Yesterday morning, Olivia had secretly taken her ID to register her marriage with Michael. Usually, her ID was kept in a hidden compartment under her mother's bedside table. She assumed her mother wouldn't notice its absence until she needed it again, planning to sneakily return it later.

However, fate had different plans, and Olivia's mother discovered the missing ID today.

Considering Olivia had mentioned her intention to marry Michael recently, her mother immediately understood where the ID had gone. She quickly called Olivia, initially planning to scold her, but then thought of a more cunning excuse – inviting Olivia over for dinner.

Olivia was currently trapped at home and had to call Michael from the bathroom to avoid being overheard.

"It's okay, I'll come over quickly."

Upon hearing Olivia's distress, Michael was momentarily startled, but he quickly composed himself and reassured Olivia. Olivia, on the verge of tears, pleaded, "Don't come, my mom is really harsh with her words. She'll scold you when you get here."
