Seraphine II

Zariel shook his head. They were all more skilled than Aurelia. He could see that as clear as day, be it in Arcane Arts or with weapons, but when it came to Arcana, Aurelia's was simply too pure. It was as if she were pulling directly from a True Source. It wasn't a fair fight—not in the slightest.

'And she hasn't chosen her focus,' he thought, kicking his feet on a branch. The act of choosing one's Focus had been an Arcanist Rite that simply couldn't be overlooked. It was a deciding factor in determining the Path of Dao that any child should walk. Some chose to walk the path of the Elements, and others chose more abstract concepts that didn't align with nature.

Zariel couldn't imagine anyone on this barren planet possessing any sort of unique element that allowed them to rise above the masses. From what he had seen, most chose to follow the basic elements since they were so… easy to acquire.
