Aurelia could not explain the level of fear she had staring at the emaciated flesh of Zariel, tinkering with some strange formula. It had been roughly two months since they were caught in this raging storm that carried their cottage to sea, submerging it far off the coast of the Dagger.
She had tried contacting Tiamat, but it seemed that all sorts of communication had been cut off. No doubt due to the starships surrounding this sector in space. Perhaps they destroyed Zariel servers back in Salem. She hoped that was not the case.
They were a few dozen miles beneath the ocean, under such tremendous pressure it was sure to kill anyone that didn't have tempered bodies. She had survived by diving into the water for fish, but no matter what she did, Zariel refused to eat. All he did was muttered aimlessly to himself.
