" So...who is he and why has he been following you around?" Elise asked curious about the old man beside me as we made our way behind the castle

" umm..." I wasn't sure how to explain how this happened thankfully I didn't need " nice to meet you mistress my name zauto I am here to protect the newly crowned demon lord for the next three years.

Seeing Elise's brows furrow slightly Spoke up " she isn't my mistress Elise is my wife."

" my apologies for any offense it's what my people call our female leaders. " zauto bowed to Elise in a form of apology,shaking her head she turned towards me " it wasn't that when did you become a demon lord?"

I looked of to the side at the demon who just stared at me with a smirk on his face, I imagined what I was seeing so Elise could get her answer

" of course it was him." Elise said shaking her head as we stopped in front of a square brick building using iron bars as a door, standing outside it was a single guard dressed in all black with their face and head covered hiding their identity

Seeing us the guard did a salute doing a double take at me and zauto since it was usual Elise and a couple maids that came here

" you swear you won't look at me differently after this." Elise took a deep breath grabbing my hand afraid to even look at me which I found a little funny and cute

" my love you have seen me tear people apart an turn into a monster and you still welcomed me home with open arm's an heart trust me to do the same." I put my other hand on top of hers as I gave her my best smile to reassure her like she does for me

Smiling back she nodded at the guard who then pulled out a key an opened the iron bars for us to enter so we did with zauto following close behind as we mad our way down a set of steps

" So the paladin that attacked last week, we had a "talk" and I found out something interesting but I'll let him tell you himself

getting to the bottom I saw a row of classic dungeon cells ending in a steel door leading to a different area with another two guards standing just outside of it dressed like the other one above

As we made our way to the door I was thinking about how surprised i was it didn't smell down here when I noticed a human man in one of the cells near the door, seeing Elise he put his head to his chest trying not to stand out

When I asked her who he was for the first time since I meet her she made a face that honestly scared me to my core and when I heard who it was I could understand why

" his name is jonah he belonged to the group that attacked us that day,he was outside delaying James and lazza which is why he is still alive." Examining his body I noticed it was covered in scars a lot of them looked fresh

" I see you had "talks" with him too." Elise didn't answer me right away and looked away " I was upset ok I thought I would never see you as...you ever again."

Smiling at her cuteness I reassured her " I get it gods know if that happened to you I would have reacted ten times worse so all things considered I think this is kinda mild if you ask me."

" I don't think anyone should be asking you anything considering you think this Is mild. " Elise chuckled as she spoke, I was happy to see her smile and laugh,she has been so stiff since we started making our way over here

" what do you plan to do with him now it's not very fair to keep him like this now that I'm ok."

" of course I have an idea if you don't mind me adding too the soldiers."she smiled at me while she asked not wanting to over step since it was kinda of a unspoken deal between us about who will handle what

" it's ok feel free to make what ever changes you want just let me know when you do." I took her hand an gently pulled her towards the door where the paladin was being held

" are you sure it's up here we are really high up and teacher will be mad if we don't get back in time." Frida looked over the edge at the town below as the people moved throughout it looking like ants due to the high they were at

Struggling to force away the knot in her stomach she quickly caught up with Emily on her shaking legs

" just a little higher we are almost there I can sense it up ahead. " Emily waited for her friend to catch up before continuing up the narrow path they were on, they have nearly scaled half the mountain by now even passing the secret mine her father had made

After about twenty minutes the path the little girls were on took a sudden sharp turn opening up into a small hidden valley with a single lake at it center

That's not what Emily focused on though it was beyond that, a rocky wall slightly discolored from the rest around it were a rune only she could see floated just above it

" I don't like this Emily something dangerous could be up here" frida moved closer to her best friend while she slowly traced the rune with her finger

" dont worrying so much if something like that was up her my dad would have dealt with it already, just stay calm I'm almost done then we can leave

Frida messed with her hands trying to distract herself an let Emily do whenever she was doing

Gasps could be heard from the little girls as the rocky wall glowed an the discolored portion started to move forming four little but sturdy rocky legs and a tail,another small portion cracked an turned towards the girls revealing two tiny cute eyes looking at them

" awww it's so cute!,it kind of looks like a lizard" frida squealed looking at her friend first summons

Reaching her arm out Emily waited for it's decision,although travelers like her father can instantly form a contract with summons normal people need to have the permission of said summons and have them be willing to work with you

After looking between frida and her it let out a squeak climbing up her arm settling on her shoulder like she was a piece of the walll

" I wish I could have a cute pet following me around all the time too." Petting the rock lizards head she made her way out the valley as frida followed beside her

" they aren't pets frida they are sentient beings that in a lot of cases gave up their home to help those that summon them like this girl here ."

"O..." frida was quite before moving to the side were the lizard rod on her friend " thank you for choosing to come with us and wanting to help her" it looked at her for a few seconds blinking then shot it's long tongue out to lick her cheek " I like her."

" she likes you too." In a great mood the girls continued on their way, frida was humming a song her mother sang to her every night before bed while emily couldn't wait to show her parents her first summon

Their good mood was spoiled though when they heard a roar from up above as the trees around them rustled from a strong gust of wind caused by a dragon overhead

At first Emily thought it could be her mother or father but the colors and patterns weren't right

getting a feeling something was about to happen Emily rushed to the edge of the mountain while the dragon she just saw along with two others descend towards the town

Without a word she grabbed her friend and jumped of the mountain hugging frida to her chest who screamed as they quickly rushed towards the ground fast enough to leave a trail behind as they did

Right before they hit the ground Emily inverted gravity for a few seconds as she spread her wings out letting them come to a gentle stop

Frida stumbled around after Emily let her go and threw up " I'm sorry but when you feel better get inside and stay somewhere safe " Emily took of again to were she saw the dragons going to land enhancing herself with her lightning which was blue with a ting of pink streaking through the middle

Frida what to stop ger but when she opened her mouth again she threw up some more

As she flew Emily could hear the horns around the town go off warning the citizens of a threat or possible one
