Back on the surface zauto was waiting for my return with all the people he managed to save already finished with the other factories, he kept his hood up so no one was dismayed by his appearance

" we have a problem my lord." My confusion didn't last when banging came from the metal door " get out here now or you all will regret it."

" of course." I tried pulling the spider from my chest but it wasn't budging, leaving it be I turned to the gathering of about hundred or more men,women and children some were Dwarves or human but most were elves

" you can hear them coming, I know you all don't know me but I can get you out of here but I need you to trust me if you want to get out of here or you can stay an continue working until they no more use for you."

I looked around the room for any objection

" good then gather behind me." Without any complaints they all started to get behind me as the banging on the doors got louder

" hand on tight little one." After warning the spider I got into a stance as the banging reached its peak the metal caving inward before finally giving way

Before the door even touched the floor I released all the force I had been building up causing a Shockwave as I bolted towards the door

Using gravity I directed outside towards the door sending it flying back, as they were still disorientated from the Shockwave I quickly dispatched the people outside clearing a path out

Outside wasn't any better though, a battalion was already making it's way to us " quickly."I yelled for the others to follow as I held back the entire battalion turning gravity against them

Covering such a wide area with some many people was quickly taking a toll on me

" icarus!" I was left with no choice but to summon icarus away from overseeing the town

It was a few minutes until I heard a screech from above, diving down icarus increased her size by at least four times the size she usually was this caused massive wind pressures to slam into the battalion forcing then to hunker down or risk getting blown away

" come on,come on...quickly everyone!" I helped people climb icarus's wings as quickly as possible,zauto was doing his best to ferry the elderly or kids who couldn't make it up on their own

" archers, elemtals attack them don't let them get away." A deluge of arrows and elements bombarded us trying to prevent our take off but the size of icarus made that difficult

With a gust from her mighty wings and we where in the air in seconds but we weren't out of the woods yet, a small squad of large sparrows were behind us and catching up fast

Seeing this i told icarus to go higher an she did cutting into the smog cloud above us nearly going fully vertical,about to lose vision of us a couple of the riders quickly hooked themselves in to the harness of their birds an went to the ballista each was carrying and fired

I watched the giant arrows soar towards us unable too do anything since I had to keep everyone on icarus and try to find us a way out of here

Noticing the danger zauto rushed back deflecting the arrows away by slapping the arrow heads in a different direction before they impacted

" go through them!" I yelled to icarus over the rush of the wind

Bursting through the top of the smog cloud a line of magic circle were waiting for us like a guide, rushing towards the first one icarus flew through it

For a split sec the world seem to freeze before her speed suddenly increased making everything blurry,hitting the other circle increased her speed even further making it seem like a comet was soaring through the sky

Feeling my nose get clogged I touched my face and saw blood get stained on my fingers ' damn it'

" lay down!" I yelled but I just ended up using gravity to force them flat, that was what pushed me over the edge as I felt my vision darken, I tried to lay down like the rest but I was to late my control over gravity faded and wind slammed into me like a speeding truck knocking me off icarus

Zauto tried to grab me but the pressure coming from the wind kept him in place like the others

Listening to the air rush past my ear the world slowly turned to darkness,before completely passing out I felt myself softly get caught on something that felt like silk and was sticky

A sudden Shockwave disturbed the gossip group an ratted the window to Elise's office

" what was~ that? " everyone was suddenly alert the playful atmosphere gone, lazza and Selena armed themselves with new weapon and went to the window while Elise and the others grouped up

Outside they saw a exhausted giant icarus land in the towns Square the place big enough for her size

" I think he is back but somethings not right." Lazza said after looking through her scope

Both her and Selena had enhanced senses but the distance was to great for her eyes alone

Rushing out the building the group made their way through the carriages and wagons then finally a rong of guards

making it to the town center they saw zauto rushing to help people off so icarus didn't just throw them of " help him get these people down quickly." James was there already helping with a few soldiers

" where is he?" Elise walked over to zauto after not seeing her husband

" he passed out from mana exhaustion and was blown away." Elise panicked at the news but quickly focused herself on get the people of icarus quickly so they can go after him

" get them somewhere to stay and something to eat ill be back." She didn't need to be told who these people where she has helped her people enough to understand how they all ended up in such a state

Scaling icarus as fast as they could Elise, zauto and lazza got ready for icarus to take off so they can head back to the location the incident happened

With a frantic screech icarus took flying back in the direction she just came buy due to her exhaustion it would take a couple hours for her to get to the location

As they flew over the land each of them watched for anything out of the ordinary

" there, I see something." Looking at the trees below lazza noticed a strange glint coming from between them

Seeing a open lake near the location icarus landed on the water near the shore extending her wing so the could dismount her taking a moment to get her direction right lazza started making her way to the glint weapon ready and followed by zauto an Elise

Cautiously but quickly moving through the trees the path they were on got denser and denser as they went

suddenly stopping lazza looked at a nearby tree see a silvery white substance " we're getting close." As the continued the path filled with that subject becoming more solid as they went forming what seemed like a large web

Following the webs they noticed monsters trapped in them some of them alive,Some of them not so much blood still coating the strings as dripped to the ground soaking it

' what have you gotten into now.' Elise couldn't help but be slightly annoyed she was having fun gossiping with her friends not being able to do it often,now she was here searching for her unconscious husband who may or may nor be gravely injured

At some point they picked up the sounds of fighting an quietly rushed forward to see some kind of big cat fighting a little spider

Swiping with its claws the creature aimed to kill the spider seeing this it quickly fell back and down a level in it web, however due to the carelessness of the attack the big cat got stuck in the web

Seizing the moment the spider quickly wrapped the creature in the web immobilizing it completely before tearing out it's throat killing it

" wait don't." Zauto stopped lazza from taking a shot at the spider, she opened her mouth to ask why but she got her answer when the spider climbed the web to her unconscious king attempting to feed him a piece of meat but quickly gave up

" is that a new summon?" Zauto didn't know either just tell them he had it with him as they were escaping

After a quick survey of the situation they decided the best option was for Elise to approach because if it was a summons it shouldn't attack her

Moving forward Elise revealed herself from their hiding spot, it didn't notice her immediately, when it did it'd eyes glowed blue staring at her " not again, must protect,heal." A broken sentence entered her mind said in a little girls voice startling Elise

" connection,bond,mate." Another set of words were conveyed to her after it looked from her husband to her

" yes I'm his mate, I can help him." It kept looking at her for s moment before moving out of the way,reaching into her pouch she brought a a syringe this on blue instead of green and injected it into his neck

When a groan escaped his lip Elise knew he was still alive now she just has to wait
