Chris, died betrayed by his close friend, whom he addressed as a brother. All it was due to jealousy. They both entered the game together but Chris reached the sky whereas Brian couldn't.
Brian betrayed his friend to get some legendary items that could turn him into a powerhouse.
What he never knew was that Chris never told anyone about an item that he got, an item that returned him to the time before the game was introduced.

"Hmm, why didn't the potions work on it? It doesn't matter anyway. As long as its subordinates don't wake up for a few minutes, I would get rid of Vork", Chris muttered in frustration.

He thought that all the monsters had fallen asleep and paralyzed but Vork didn't. When he neared Vork, it sprung into action and attacked him. If not for his superior agility, the monster would have injured him. Of course, there is armour that could have nullified the attack but he would have felt the force of the attack.

Armour protects from enemy attacks but the force of the attacks still causes damage to the body, which can't be nullified by usual armour. To counter that, one needs specialized armour that can absorb shocks caused by attacks.
