Chris, died betrayed by his close friend, whom he addressed as a brother. All it was due to jealousy. They both entered the game together but Chris reached the sky whereas Brian couldn't.
Brian betrayed his friend to get some legendary items that could turn him into a powerhouse.
What he never knew was that Chris never told anyone about an item that he got, an item that returned him to the time before the game was introduced.

Ten days, it took Chris a total of ten days to completely assimilate all the information that was available to him in the Runecrafting Guild.

Reading all that information isn't cheap. A lot of gold he earned from the auction house disappeared instantly. This wouldn't have been the case if he was a member of the guild, but he chose not to.

He was already a member of the Magic Tower and the Adventurer's Guild.

As he was a mage, he had to be a part of the Magic Tower and the Adventurer's Guild didn't care if you were a member of another organization as long as you completed your tasks perfectly and on time.

This was not the same for other organisations. They can never be a member of a single organisation outside of organisations like Adventurer's Guild or Mercenary's Guild.

If you were already a member of an organisation, then all you could become would be an allied party. Even that status wouldn't be given to anyone at wish.
