Chris, died betrayed by his close friend, whom he addressed as a brother. All it was due to jealousy. They both entered the game together but Chris reached the sky whereas Brian couldn't.
Brian betrayed his friend to get some legendary items that could turn him into a powerhouse.
What he never knew was that Chris never told anyone about an item that he got, an item that returned him to the time before the game was introduced.

Chris couldn't see her worry about him. He has to come out about his powers and how one would be able to gain those powers for now at least. In later years it would change but for now, entering the game is the only way.

He believed that he had time before they would appear on Earth but that changed. He wanted her to enjoy her innocence for a bit longer but everything was changing too fast. Now he has to change his plans for his sister. Now he has to awaken her powers.

It means he has to send her into the game and play it for a while. Until she was strong enough to protect herself, he would be there to protect her.

After he returned home, seeing the worried look on his sister, he said to her, "Abby, we need to talk. Let me make the dinner and we can talk while eating".

Abby nodded and let him go to prepare the dinner.
