Chris, died betrayed by his close friend, whom he addressed as a brother. All it was due to jealousy. They both entered the game together but Chris reached the sky whereas Brian couldn't.
Brian betrayed his friend to get some legendary items that could turn him into a powerhouse.
What he never knew was that Chris never told anyone about an item that he got, an item that returned him to the time before the game was introduced.

Things have changed and the changes are going far from Chris's control. No matter what he did, Chris paid attention to what to do and what not to do but things were going out of spiral. He lamented that it was hubris to think that things would be the same as before.

The moment he returned back to the past, is the moment things started to change. He may not have thought about that back then but he can clearly see that he missed out on a lot of details, believing that as long as he doesn't make big waves, nothing would change.

The future started to change when he quit his job at the shop, and when he bought the gaming cabin before he should have. Everything he did from the second he woke up back in the past, started to change the future. He was too focused on the game itself that he didn't pay much attention to those changes.
