Eleonore’s POV
Missael had managed to cheer me up but after he had to leave to take care of his own duties, I returned to my room, both to stay out of the way and also because I didn’t want to be forced to interact with anyone.
My situation was already precarious, and I didn’t want to rock the boat. Lillian was just one person, but she gave me a good idea of how other people saw me, especially after breakfast with Alpha Sined.
A guest, not even his sons’ girlfriend or anything like that, just a guest in his manor, but I’ve been a guest in my own home before. If he wanted to chase me away, then I was certainly going to be a lost cause. If he wanted me gone, he was going to have to order it.
Both my computer and my phone were dead, I hadn’t thought to charge them the night before. I plugged them in and organized my homework into what I’d have to send in and what I had time to do before drafting an email to my professors to apologize for my absence.
