The long car ride slowed down and came to a halt in front of a small town. I stepped out of the vehicle with confusion etched across my face as I looked at the new scenery before me. What was all that fuss about a surprise if he was just going to bring me to a regular suburb? I shot him a glare, not being one to hide my disappointment. Well, I guess that's what I get for hoping to be in a car with a stranger.

"Hmm, you don't look all that excited!" Maxim commented, scanning my face as he punched a button on the car's remote, locking the car doors. I glared at him once more, taking my time as I returned my gaze back to the city, a visible scowl still on my face as I rolled my eyes.
