DEVON'S POV
"Morning Alpha!" They chorused, bowing their heads low in reverence for my arrival as I stepped into the station. The air was thick with tension, their eyes trailing me all with a similar thought in their minds: what would our alpha do about these killings?
I didn't have more than enough to deal with, with the elders constantly breathing down my neck And having to patrol with the warriors to make sure our security system was tight, I also had to deal with the constant look of disappointment from my people. I guess I shouldn't complain; I did deserve it. After all, I let everyone down.
I let out a sigh, ignoring the curious and disappointed glances of officers and warriors as I made my way to the front desk.
"I need to speak to Glandus; where's the lead investigator?"
