DEVON'S POV
I turn my head over to Rachel, who is sleeping soundly by my side. I waved her hand in front of her face, needing to make sure she was sound asleep before I made my move, and sure enough she was. I bit my lower lip, carefully dragging my arm, which she used as a pillow, and swiftly replacing it with a pillow.
My heart hung by a loose unraveling thread, scared I had been caught as she rolled over in bed, a soft sigh of relief escaping her lips paired with some inaudible murmur. I lowered my shoulder, saying a silent prayer to the moon-goddess as she remained sound asleep. I can't risk getting caught; she'll ask too many questions, and I don't want to lie to her.
