Tying up loose ends

It felt wonderful to have Rachel back in my life; my once bleak world had its color once again, and I, for one, couldn't be happier. It's strange; it's as if the whole incident with Maxim only made us stronger. It certainly strengthened our bond; Rachel could feel it too. I'm guessing it took so long to kick in because she was human. 

As much as I wanted to stay back home with my family and get to the ceremony with them, I had something to take care of. Something urgent needs to be done.

"You guys head to the town hall without me; I'll join you guys later." I said, giving Rachel a goodbye kiss, then walked out of the house. It's merely been a few days since the battle with Delilah and Maxim, yet everyone is still getting used to the new-found normalcy.
