Just Like My Parents

Sarah's POV:

I chuckled and massaged my temple. I didn't know what to say because I couldn't do what she was asking of me. "Something urgent came up." I immediately hung up before switching off the phone.

"Elma Wistold": I got entangled with such a woman; she was capable of making the entire NY trample to her feet because she was so smart and evil.

"I am done for today." I was starving, confused, and tired. It was not yet time to leave, but I couldn't stay anymore; I just couldn't.

So I dialed Unise's number, and it got connected: "I am not feeling fine; cancel all my activities for the day." Then I ended the call, picked up my bag, and walked out of the office.

I got downstairs and couldn't spot the driver; he must have left because he knew I wouldn't be leaving now.

So I walked a few steps when the car pulled beside me. It was Jude. "Are you a fairy godmother?" I chuckled and got in.

"Where did you come from?" I questioned.
