Semi-Finals (Part 5) Chink In The Armor

Gasps waved across the crowd as Kennan was flung across the arena.

Nero and the others in the Gladiator's Pit stood up in concern and suspense.

The attack on Kennan was nearly perfect. His nose had been crushed instantly on impact, and his orbital bones suffered slightly as well.

The adrenaline was gone. Kennan felt all of the pain directly as he skidded across the ground.

As he lay there, his entire body felt numb.

His eyes were closed. 'I... can't open...' He managed to think to himself, not able to even control his eyelids so he couldn't see what was going on.

The impact had affected his brain as well, making everything hazy.

Even his hearing, which was the only thing left standing, felt very buzzy.

At that moment Kennan heard the crowd gasp again for some reason.

He didn't know why until he felt another powerful impact on the side of his ribcage, propelling him several dozen feet away again.
