"Blood Ritual"

A brief bout of cold overcame her as she came to the haunting realization that she was holding her lords corpse.

Horror overwhelmed her as she realized that she was undoubtedly the next to die in this barren landscape. She didn't know Daniel well, but the painful realization that she would die alone began to take its toll

Just as hope began to dwindle, the sound of footsteps outside the cave alerted her to another presence. Before the figure made itself known, the presence became overbearing. Her survival instincts began to scream as the short alien creature's visage came into view. It looked at her with curious eyes and tilted its head.

It didn't seem hostile, but it felt as if she was looking into the eyes of an eldritch horror. The being in front of her had to be at least high-Tier 3. A staff materialized in its hands and the war rune on its hand became apparent.

The alien spoke quietly, "Well, this is unusual."

Ales remained quiet as she attempted to calm her rapidly beating heart. The being's eyes pulsed and turned white. It softly whispered, "8 star?" The corners of his lips rose as he began to walk away. "He'll be awake soon. I'll get him some food."

Ales was confused by the words but her heart was still clenched in his presence. Every step the being took away from her felt like pounds being lifted off her back. A few moments of silence passed before Daniel's body began to heat up.

Her attention was immediately redirected to Daniel as a faint blue energy began to wrap around him. His skin returned to a normal color but his lips remained chapped. Ales stared bewildered as he began to feel lighter. Suddenly, Daniel's eyes opened and a radiant blue light shone from them. Ales had to squint her eyes to even look near him.

A blade flashed in front of her and, immediately, she found herself looking at her own body.

Daniel shot to his feet as his vision began to clear. His attention was split between the screaming notification and his own surroundings. To his surprise, he found himself covered in a thick green blood. His gaze followed the green liquid as it dripped to the floor and collected in an ominous puddle. His gaze inched forward, following the stream of green liquid, until his eyes met a pair of lifeless, verdant eyes looking back at him. The notification continued to scream at him, but when he saw it, his voice quivered in anger as he began to scream uncontrollably.
