Chapter 6 Misunderstanding

After carefully observing his surroundings, the guy took a step forward, heading into the direction of the forest.

Nolan then exited the window, jumping down, and cautiously followed the guy. Once inside, he positioned himself a little far away, discreetly observing his actions.

"Why are there no zombies? Don't tell me they also sleep," the guy mused.

Suddenly, a rustling sound was heard, and the guy looked in its direction. There, he saw a zombie walking slowly towards him, groaning.

"Here I am, just complaining why there's none of your kind. You actually show up," the guy smiled, then held the rock he used to kill the first zombie and smashed it at its head.

As the zombie fell, the guy continued smashing its head with the rock until it finally stopped moving. The guy stood up, waited for a moment, and then smiled.

"So I was right; there is some kind of system to get stronger, and the condition for it to be awakened is by killing the required zombie, which is a total of 10. Only 8 remaining," the guy said, smiling from ear to ear.

Nolan, who was observing the guy from afar, couldn't help but be stunned; he could clearly hear the guy's voice even from a distance.

"System, killing? Requirement? What is he talking about?" Nolan tried to process the information he heard, but then he saw that the guy left the body of the zombie and continued his way, searching for more zombies.

Nolan was about to follow, but then he saw two blue spheres, each the size of a baseball, come out of the zombie's body, leaving him stunned.

"What exactly is that blue sphere? I thought it was just my imagination earlier," Nolan, who was curious, came out from his hiding spot to touch the orb.

The guy was already gone, prompting Nolan to come out when his keen senses detected that the guy was already far away.

As he slowly approached and touched the blue orb, it was absorbed from his hands, and a refreshing current of blue streams traveled from his arms toward his body.

Nolan couldn't help but shiver, simultaneously feeling relaxed from the sensation it provided.

"What is that? Blue sphere ball. It's like a relaxing spa, but with no water," he mused.

He then touched another orb, and as his fingers made contact, it was absorbed, traveling through his body.

"Ohhhhhh," Nolan moaned in delight, savoring the sensation.

He decided to stop following the guy and turned back, retracing his steps to the place. As he passed by the zombie that was killed earlier, he noticed the blue orb was gone.

"Huh? Where's the orb? Did someone absorb them while I was asleep? Oh well, I should just go back for now," Nolan pondered but did not put his whole mind in to it, continuing his way back.

Back inside the train, Nolan pondered what the guy had said. "Killing zombies actually has a system if certain requirements are completed. So it's just like those in the novels. But that guy was really an idiot," Nolan said while shaking his head in a sleeping posture.

"That's clearly impossible for it to happen that guy must be suffering from a mental illness," he added.

"He literally knows that it's deep in the night. It's dangerous to go out at this time and look for those zombies. What if the zombies are not the only ones roaming this place?" Nolan grumbled.

"I have to go back tomorrow and find a way back, or else my little sister and Mom will look for me," Nolan said anxiously.

Nolan recognized the danger of being out so late at night. Tomorrow, he decided, he would have to leave. Even if he were to be alone, he would face the challenges with firm determination, his eyes showing no fear of the impending danger.

The night passed swiftly, and the next day arrived with the bright sun illuminating the place. A small beam of sunlight passed through the window, waking everyone up.

When Nolan felt the light hitting his eyes, they fluttered, and he began to open them.

As his eyes finally opened, he was stunned by what he saw. "How did this girl get here?" he wondered, surprised by the unexpected presence.

Nolan, in deep thought, realized the girl next to him was Claire Wilson, still in a deep sleep. Her silver hair covered most of her face, and her dry cherry lips, untouched by saliva, created an intriguing sight. The situation made it slightly awkward to look at.

As Nolan spaced out, realizing the girl's face was just 5 inches away from him, with a slight push, their lips could be sealed.

He contemplated standing up and walking away to avoid trouble. However, before he could move, Claire Wilson's eyes began to flutter, and eventually, they fully opened.

"It's morning already?" Claire Wilson said in a sleepy manner. Her eyes were a little hazy, but after a few seconds, she began to have a clear vision and was shocked.

"How dare you, you shameless pervert!" Claire Wilson exclaimed, hurriedly backing away from Nolan.

"Groping my breast is not already enough for you, now you wanna take my first kiss, you shameless gigolo!" Claire shouted, her voice echoing throughout the carriage.

The loud outcry jolted those who were still half awake inside the carriage, abruptly regaining their consciousness.

Nolan frowned and was about to explain when suddenly a person voiced was heard making him stop.

Nolan frowned, and just as he was about to explain, another person's voice was heard, causing him to stop.

"Who dares to harass a woman so early in the morning? Are you seeking death?" the man said with a hint of fury, glaring at Nolan.

"Young girl, come here and hide behind my back. I will not let him reach you," the man said, beckoning Claire with his hands to take shelter behind him.

Claire, who was in the opposite direction of the man, ran towards him while hitting Nolan's shoulder, causing her to stumble as if a piece of metal had struck her shoulder.

"Ahhh!" Claire yelped in pain as she stumbled to the floor.

Nolan was stunned, and was about to offer his help, when suddenly a shout reverberated throughout the place.

"You really have some balls to hurt her even in front of me," the man said, extending a hand to help Claire up.

"Thank you, Mr.," Claire said, feeling grateful. She then hid behind the man, casting cold eyes toward Nolan.

Nolan frowned even more, feeling a bit speechless. "Mr., I can explain. What happened actually started wi-" he was about to explain, but was abruptly cut off.

"Shut up, you kid! Do you think I'm blind? If I don't teach you a lesson right now, my name will not be Brad Nigger," the man said.

Brad Nigger was the same person who kicked the zombie and pinned it to the ground. He had military hair and a well-built physique, clearly a person who worked out daily.

Suddenly, many people who witnessed the situation began to curse Nolan, unaware of the full story.

"Yeah, beat his damn ass, students nowadays have become so lawless," cursed a middle-aged woman, rolling her eyes in frustration.

"Don't just beat him up, but disable that son of a gun's arms so no woman will get sexually abused by him in the future," shouted an old man in his 60s, his anger evident in his choice of words.

A younger man chimed in, "For real! These little brats need a reality check. Teach 'em a lesson he won't forget Mr.!"

A woman in her 30s added, "This is what happens when parents don't discipline their kids. They turn into monsters, and we have to deal with it!"

Nolan, upon hearing the last remarks, felt his face distort as he looked at her coldly.

"Don't you dare bring my family into this. I swear I'll beat that filthy mouth of yours into the ground," Nolan's expression turned cold and domineering when the middle-aged lady mentioned his parents. The atmosphere became tense as Nolan's anger flared in response to the inappropriate comment.
