Yvonne stood up, her face flushed with anger. "No one sent you to me. I did not take your phone, and I was really lost."
Javier put his ring down and turned his face away from her. "You seem to be trying me."
"I am being serious," she insisted. "I did not take your phone; I was really lost, and most importantly, I did not drug you. Why would I drug you?"
Javier turned to face her, his eyes dark and unreadable. As he walked toward her, Yvonne instinctively stepped back until her legs hit the bed, causing her to fall onto it.
He was on top of her. "What are you doing, Javier?" she said, her voice trembling. "You're scaring me,"
"What do you think I am?" he asked. "A baby? You said you didn't do all those things. Does that mean I am lying?"
Yvonne turned her face away from him. "Yes, you're lying. I just escaped a threatening situation, and now this. If you don't trust me, why did you bring me here?"
