Returning downstairs, Jenny handed the phone to Javier's mother but couldn't hide the unease on her face. "Here you go," she said, her voice a bit shaky.
"Thank you," Javier's mother replied, handing the phone to Alisa. "Go ahead, dear."
Alisa took the phone with a small smile and dialed her mother's number. As it rang, she glanced around the room, feeling slightly more at ease but still yearning for her mother's presence.
Jenny, meanwhile, struggled to keep her mind off the letter she had just read. How could Javier's mother keep such a secret from Sir, and lie to him? That's such a bad idea. If Sir finds out, all hell will break loose.
Jenny went to the kitchen, sneaking a peak at Alisa. She couldn't help but wonder what would happen if Sir found out. How can a mother do such a thing?
Jenny's leg was shaking, but she felt a bit of relief knowing at least her madam wasn't dead. But where is she?
