Laurel hurried towards the maid quarters. Her mate didn't come after her, thankfully. And why would he?

She slowed down on seeing Sorren with the guards, at the entrance. What did he want again?

"Prince Sorren." She said politely, as she was in front of the guards. "I have started my punishment, do you need something else from me?"

"Send a maid to the Alpha's quarters. One that can help in doing minor house duties. Jade is gone but the Alpha's quarters shouldn't be a mess."

Laurel's head remained down but she felt like laughing. So it had been Jade who cleaned the Alpha's quarters?

She was so insecure about someone taking her fiancé that she offered to do bountiful menial work instead?
