Chapter Hundred-Sixty-One – Learner

The Princess was almost at her breaking point from the Lycan's chattering. Was he a six year old?

Compared to his scary look with scars, and dark hair, he was rather bubbly and sorting out connections.

Laurel wondered if she could give in and fake being his friend, in hopes that she'd use it to her gain later.

But she wasn't thrilled to make friends with a lycan, especially one that hurt others like they were bugs.

"And you see, I learnt two things today." Slime said, hastening his steps to match Laurel's.

"Never underestimate a werewolf. I still don't know how that weak traveler was able to beat me but he beat me good." Slime said soberly. "I'd never underestimate again."

That was a beautiful lesson Sir Darren thought him. Laurel nodded in approval.
