Laurel stomped into Valkyrie's quarters, then paused to catch her breath. Why did that Rolling Stones' Alpha have to put her in such a situation with Stefan?

And she was compared to a child! Laurel ran her hands through her hair, pushing out a heavy sigh. Why couldn't she get his smirking face out of his face?

"Elma, get out of my head."

"We will be together forever, Laurel." Elma snickered, then sighed satisfactorily. "At least, he wasn't mad at us. He knew we were innocent."

That was because it was obvious. Laurel scoffed. He wouldn't be that stupid. She strolled towards her quarters.

"He must have mood swings to threaten someone with death today and smile at the person the next day."

Elma sighed. It wasn't yesterday the threat came though. It's been months ago and she'd like to believe their mate had a change of heart since he never mentioned it.
