Chapter two - Gala part 1

Year 1869, currently in the largest town, winter land, where it was snowy and always cold, different group of people were invited to the grand gala held in the large hall centre of winter land. Nobles, dukes and duchesses were present including the King, and Queen, the lord who was in charge of the council and their children. It was a masquerade gala , so everyone were in evening dresses, black suits, and masquerade masks.

A fancy carriage ride towards the grand hall where the gala was to take place. The carriage was decorated with beautiful adornments so one could tell it belonged to royalty. Although chariots gave way for the coming carriage. The fancy carriage stopped as the neat and exclusive red carpet that led into the grand hall. A foot man immediately alighted the carriage which was pulled by four healthy horses.

Even with the help of the four horses and the fancy tyres they were still late. But no dare made a mean comment or gossip if they wanted to live. The footman opened the door with a full bow as the King stepped out along with his concubine, Elizabeth. The footman bowed again only to get a rude scoff from Elizabeth and nothing from the King.

He closed the door as he got onto the carriage and went in search of where to park, which was clearly the King's orders. The King Wilhelhum had a wife, Queen Lloyd, she is still alive but he refused that she be the one to accompany him to the gala. With the way the moon was full tonight, everyone was knew it was the wolves night and the vampires needed to stay away from the werewolves to prevent death.

This gala was called for by the head of the council, Lord Philip, who had planned on introducing his fourteen year old son Zechariah to the king. Zechariah had been away from here since birth and it will be such an honour for him to finally meet the king and exchange polite words.

The King's one and only concubine, Elizabeth is a young pretty lady but her beauty couldn't be compared to the King's wife, Queen Lloyd. Although, the king had an outrageous desire towards Elizabeth, as if he was spellbound by her. The only big difference between Lloyd and Elizabeth was that Lloyd was a human while Elise was a vampire.

King Wilhelhum and Lady Elise walked in to the hall arm in arm like a beautiful couple. Some people were pleased to see the both of them together while some wished it was Queen Lloyd with the King in the gala. Just then another carriage came to an halt on the spot the first royal carriage had stopped. The footman stepped down as he opened the door with a pleasant bow as If happy to welcome the people in the carriage out.

Jumping out of the carriage was an eight year old vampire beauty, Princess Alea. She was in a purple ball gown which wasn't supposed to be what she wore , a white masquerade mask, she looked beautiful along with her big brown eyes and chestnut brown hair that was made in two pigtails. " Alea be careful" Thta came her mother's sweet and gentle voice filled with both love and care, Queen Lloyd. " Mother, this place is beautiful." Alea said.

" still be careful ." Queen Lloyd said. " Don't bother much about Alea mother, after all Everyone knows she is abnormal when it comes to occasions she has never attended." That came her rude older brother's voice, Lysander. " She is naturally stupid am I not right Alea?" Lysander asked as he stepped of the carriage raising an eyebrow as a

Alea scoffed at him in annoyance.

Lysander ran his fingers through his beautiful jet black hair as if preparing for the harsh wind that came upon them as he shut his eyes breathing in the cold hair. They were of course in Winterland, where the vampires resided and there was a lot of snow here. Lysander let out a sigh turning to look at his mother as he gave her a hand. She took it stepping as she stepped out, amazed of what a gentleman her son was. So sweet.

" Thank you dear." Queen Lloyd said with a smile. Although her husband was currently with another woman, she was still with her two children, her older son, Lysander who was nothing like his father, and her lovely princess, Alea, who was her father's joy. " oh I can't wait to get into the gala." sounded Alea in excitement.

" stop talking as if you have never been in a gala before." Lysander said already annoyed by Alea's enthusiasm.

" For your information Lysander, I have never been in a gala before." Alea said. " no wonder you look so stupid." Lysander said glancing at the way his sister looked like a granny. Alea scoffed. " alright kids, stop fighting, this is a big day for Philip and there's no chance I'll let the both of you ruin this one." Sounded Queen Lloyd out of annoyance.

Well she wasn't wrong, Both Alea and Lysander always caused chaos in all the occasions they attended causing both their parents to stop them from attending some events. Queen Lloyd held the hands of her angels as she led them into the huge gala hall. They were greeted by the slow play of the grand piano and a couple that danced in the tunes of the violin. There was a lot of different people, some chatting, gossiping, while some approached Queen Lloyd to talk to her.

Alea seemed interested in all this but Lysander wasn't, if he could stay back, he would have. Alea held Lysander's hand as they left their mother who was surrounded by some unbelievable women. Just as Alea was about speak, Lysander removed his hand from hers. Alea stood in front of Lysander . " What is it Lysander?" Alea asked pouting. She didn't quite understand her brother at all.
