REINDEER MOSS

[MUSIC RECOMMENDATION: GODZILLA ~ EMINEM FEAT J]

The sole of Raven's shoe connected with the jaw of one of the men who was trying to attack him.

"My teeth!!" The man said incoherently as he held his bleeding mouth with his hands, which were now trembling.

Others still didn't learn their lessons as they advanced, trying to bring down Raven, who had a bored look on his face.

The first person to get close to Raven was crippled permanently as Raven reached for the man's neck, skillfully pulling the weapon the man had intended to use on him. Raven smashed his knee, which made a loud crack, and the man fell screaming in pain.

Raven checked out the weapon he was holding; it was a small sharp knife. He sighed. Turning to the partner he came in with, he said, "I thought you said we won't meet anyone here." As he was talking, another person tried to attack him from the side, but Raven's eyes caught the movement first. He held the man's hand tightly and slashed the veins on his wrist.

"Hold it tightly; if you lose blood, you die." The man screamed in pain while holding his wrist tightly. He didn't want to die.

Shadow grinned as he dropped the lifeless body he was punching. "I did say that, but I also said he always has his friends with him." The agent replied, moving to his next attacker.

Raven rubbed his temples tiredly, swiftly moving to the side when another man tried to slash his face. The man lost balance as he didn't expect Raven to move away. Raven kicked the man roughly from behind, sending him crashing on the rough ground with his face, causing a bloody mess.

As they continued to fight, a young man who had been hiding behind others snuck out of the room and ran outside to the other street.

"Raven, get him! I'll handle things here." Shadow shouted, using his hand to twist a man's neck before pushing him away.

Raven stepped out of the house, following the man who was now running like he was being chased by a ghost. Raven continued to walk casually, like he was taking a walk, with his hands dipped in his trouser pocket.

"Stay away from me, help! Somebody help! This man is a killer." The man shouted as he tried to make a run for it, but nobody stopped to help him. They continued to look at him like he was crazy.

Raven didn't stop following the man, his long strides catching up quickly with the short steps the man made. His eyes narrowed when the man dashed inside a store. It was a boutique.

Inside one of the dressing rooms, Lily held up a blue and black dress. She had come to pick a dress for her date night before evening. She turned, checking out her reflection in the mirror. The dress really complemented her skin color.

"Good evening Jeff, no Jeffery...no no Mr. Jeffery," Lily rehearsed in front of the mirror how she was going to act in front of the man. Then she leaned closer and pouted her lips, closing her eyes as if being kissed. When she opened her eyes, she giggled.

"I'll take this! It feels good to the skin and looks comfortable." Lily said to herself loudly. She walked towards the door to make her payments outside, but something was blocking the door. Lily pushed with all her might until finally, the door opened abruptly, causing her to fall on her knees.

When she snapped her head to look at the person, Lily noticed everyone in the store was looking terrified.

"Don't move; if you move, I will... I will..." the man, who was now holding a penknife, swung it at the people. Then he caught sight of a young girl with green eyes who was right in front of him, on her knees. The man rushed to grab the girl's neck.

Lily had never been so scared in her life. As that moment she let go of the dress she was holding and grabbed her neck where the man was threatening to squeeze the life out of her.

"Let me go!" She tried to shout, but the man's grip tightened even more, causing her to choke.

"Shut up," the man ordered, taking a step backward as he entered the room Lily had just come out from.

"Tell that man to leave, and I promise not to hurt you." Lily heard the man speak to her.

Without thinking it through or looking for the man, Lily started begging as tears welled in her eyes, causing it to glisten, "Please leave, whoever you are... I don't want to die... my life just has too much bad luck." Lily cried, at the same time she caught sight of familiar coppery brown eyes that were now staring directly at her.

"You?" Lily mouthed, but her surprise didn't last long because her captor dragged her inside the changing room, now holding the penknife dangerously close to her neck.

Lily winced when she felt the small sting of the knife on her neck. More than that, she wondered what the prince of hell was doing in a female boutique. Except it was him, her captor was talking about. Still deep in her thoughts, the door to the changing room opened, and as the saying goes, speak of the devil, and he comes knocking on your door. In front of Lily stood tall the man she wished last night when the shooting star passed never to meet again. But it seems like heaven declined her request.

"Bambi, let the girl go." The man's spine-chilling voice reverberated in the room.

But the captor held Lily's neck tightly as the words pissed him off even more. He gritted his teeth as he said, "How dare you call me Bambi; I'm going to kill her right now!"

Raven cocked his head to a side, "You're hiding behind a little girl, that's why you are Bambi. A coward." He repeated, spiting the man even more.

Lily tried to catch her breath. Was the devil trying to kill her? She needed to do something. "Please, sir, don't mind him; you're not Bambi. You're a good man; please let me go." She cried, as she felt the breath knocking out of her windpipe.

"See? The little girl is even trying to feed your ego. Bambi," Raven said. This time he moved his eyes from the man, and dropped his gaze on the green eyes of the girl who glared at him. It was amusing.

The man closed his eyes for a second trying to catch his thought, "Shut up, shut up! Both of you!! Any more words, and I'll cut—"

In a speed of light that both Lily and her captor didn't see, Raven held the man's hand and releasing Lily from his grip, he twisted the man's hand with one. Then he moved Lily behind him with the other.

"Playtime is over," Raven muttered, dragging the man to the mirror.

Lily, who stood by the side, though still scared, was impressed with the man's skills. Maybe with being a devil comes great gifts she smiled.

"Thank you so much; I'll call the cops so hold him for now." Lily searched for her phone, but the next sound she heard made her sick in her stomach.

Bam...bam...the man's face was being smashed into the mirror like it was nothing. Blood dripped down with the broken pieces of the mirror. A gore sight to behold, but Raven continued to hold the man's head tightly.

"Who gave the orders?" He questioned with a calm yet cold voice.

The man groaned in pain, with his face now disfigured beyond recognition. "Mr...." The man mumbled a name that only Raven heard.

"You should have started with that." With a last bang, Raven dropped the man's body on the ground then he turned to see the girl trying to sneak away he tilted his head.

"Leaving so soon? The party just started."
