Raven picked the phone from the girl's hand, turning it off, he said, "You don't want to do that. Now run along and forget everything that happened here, little girl." His voice low and chilly to the bone.

He's a hitman, a hacker, a serpent slithering through the city's underbelly. Not a hero, not even close. The mafia's ghost in the machine, shadows his only companions.

Then, there's her. Bookish, buried in debt and dreams, juggling endless shifts and late-night study sessions. Sunflower yellow amidst the grimy alleys, oblivious to the danger lurking beneath her hopeful smile. "Plain," they call her, "basic." But her light, it's undeniable.

One fated night, a muttered curse, a stolen glance. Their worlds, oil and water, are destined to collide. Can sunshine melt the frost around a killer's heart? Or will their tangled destinies ignite a storm that consumes them both?

Raven pushed the door that led to the game center open; his eyes scanned the whole room as he searched for Lily. He checked her location on his phone; it was not moving, the girl was still inside here.

His long strides walked right into the main entrance, his shoes clicking sharply on the ground. The only thing on Raven's mind was Lily's safety. He noticed that the place was empty. Someone was watching and knew he was now in the game.

Raven raised one of the chairs and threw it, smashing one of the cameras that was used for watching him.

The first unfortunate person to meet Raven was the security guard who made sure that non-players were not allowed inside without being properly checked.

"Excuse me, sir, you're not allo-" his words got stuck in his throat when Raven's elbow drove right into his Adam's apple, causing the man to fall on his knees and grunt, writhing in pain.
