The next day, as promised, Lily and Raven got ready to leave for the hospital. They didn't try making breakfast this time after yesterday's failed trial.

Lucy made breakfast and also packed lunch, which Lily carried to the car. She was so happy to finally step out of the house, especially after talking to Raven the other day about family. Lily decided to live her life without thinking too much about why she was abandoned. One day, the answers would come to her.

On getting to the hospital, Lily stood at the side and watched as most of the staff rushed to greet Raven.

"Good morning, Mr. Ryker," they greeted with a uniformed bow.

Raven didn't reply; he turned to his side like he was forgetting something. "Puffin, what are you doing standing there?" He asked, seeing Lily behind him after she had been pushed aside.
