MORNING AFTER BLUES

[MUSIC RECOMMENDATION: NOT ABOUT ANGELS ~ BIRDY]

Lily stretched languidly in the oversized bed, a contented sigh escaping her lips. Unlike her usual mornings, she didn't feel the loneliness and emptiness she usually felt when she woke up, and neither did she experience any nightmarish dream that she could never remember. It was as if someone had been there with her, holding her throughout the night. But it was just her at the moment, on the king-size bed.

The only thing Lily felt at the moment was the dull ache of a hangover that made her joints weak, but yet, a warmth bloomed in her chest, a strange sense of security she couldn't quite explain.

"Good morning, Miss Lily," Alice greeted, walking inside the room with clean sets of towels which she placed on the table.
