A LIFE ON THE LINE

Victor unblinkingly stared back at his father, his blood boiling with anger, his hands bleeding as a result of the fight he had earlier with the guards outside.

"Son, Victor darling," Grace ran out of her room, going to stand in between her son and husband. She held her son's face, "Did you come back because you missed me? I'm so sorry, honey, I will be good from now on. Mummy loves you," she hugged him tightly, afraid that he might leave and not come back.

Augustine chuckled, "You should return home, son. You can never deny your origin for too long. Come back quickly and run this place with your father, quit playing Raven's dog." He sighed, "You think Raven and everyone around him won't hate you if they find out what you did for your dear daddy in the past?"

Grace continued crying, holding her son closely, "Please don't leave me behind. Let us go anywhere together, Victor,"
