Chapter 5: Dungeon Gate.

After defeating Rehrite and the additional summoned Rottens, Kris went to another location. He was heading to the park.

Kris had finished more than half of his daily quest. He did not than expected. He was now going to finish his quest.

Toads natural spawn at bodies of water and Lunar Frogs too, except that only at noon they spawn.

Kris was now at the local park in his area. His white, flimsy jacket was stained with cold, crimson red blood. It was caused by battling with the Rottens.

In the park, Kris went towards the nearest pond. Their were already Toads spawning. It was midday, not noon, so their were only Toads.

"Ugh," Kris scoffed in with annoyance in his voice.

Kris walked towards one of the benches and took a seat. Sitting down, looking upwards - at the sky - Kris began to ponder.

"(Hmm?)" He inquired in his head. "(Yesterday I started to make more progress. Now my level is nearing triple digits and my stats can now surpass 1000.)"

"(I wonder why. Is this fate?)" Kris wondered with genuine concern. "(Is their even a thing named fate?)"

"*Sigh*" Kris let out a sigh of uncertainty and continued to ponder. "(It doesn't matter. As long as I can kill that bastard with my own tow hands!)"

He grabbed the air above him in his right palm. With conviction in his heart and soul, he was absolutely determine to change the world. To return back to its former glory.

"For you mom and dad," said Kris with a soften tone.

Kris scoffed and said, "Ugh, why am I getting so sedimental?"

[Few Hours Later...]

Couple of hours had passed and it was finally noon.

The Lunar Frogs began to spawn. Thy had whit slimy skin with blue stripes that resembled a cheetah. Like the regular Toads, they were passive at first, unless provocted. That was unless they evolved temporarily by the appearance of the moon. And Kris was about to provoct them.

Their were at least 20 or at most 15, which was not near the requirement to fulfill the quest.

"I would have to wait a little longer before at least 50 Lunar Frogs spawn," said Kris, "but if it turns night, I'm seriously screwed."

Since they were Insect-Grade they were easily killed of by Kire.

"Normally I wouldn't fret much over death, but now I'm awfully determined not to die," said Kris while clenching chest. "I'm so damn anxious that even my heart is beating at a fast, rapid rate."

It was now at the brink of night. The moon was still not visible in the mix of dark blue and orange sky, but Kris could feel it coming. But he didn't have to worry anymore."

"Alright, it's time to eat some cann food," said Kris. "[Sonic Acceleration]"

With his increased speed, he hurriedly exit the park and relocated at a suitable save distance away from the park. Being just outside the park wouldn't save him from the Demon-Grade or Calamity-Grade Lunar Frogs.

[Sonic Acceleration has expired]

Kris was now in the middle of the street which was at a great distance away from the park.

"Phew," Kris sighed. "Let's see what I have here."

[The Next Day...]

Kris was awake once again. He quickly brushed his teeth and washed his face. After that he prepared breakfast, which was just eggs and tomato that he got last night.

While eating, this appeared.

[New Daily Quest has arrived!]

"Huh?" Kris inquired while eggs were still in hjs mouth.

"*Sigh* Hopefully it's a chance to test out my new weapons and to get more rewards," Kris said.

He went in his interface and say the Daily Quest.

"Another," Kris said while looking at his interface. "And a real long one."

"Hmm," He began to ponder. "(Each reward after the Blue Gate is pretty good, but also hard to get. The Black Gate was tempting, but I'm too weak to pick it.)"

"Too bad Omega (The System) didn't put in the Void Gate," said Kris. "But I know what I'm picking."

"Well, it's a nice quest. I get to exercise my weapons," said Kris. "But I was hoping for a quest like last time, so I could amplify my rewards once again."

He then clicked one of the options.

"Wait. Oh, shit!" Kris cursed. "I can't escape the dungeon unless I complete. Oh, well."

"I haven't even put in proper clothing," continued Kris.

Kris was wearing a black pants with a plain white shirt with red, horizontal stripes.

Suddenly, Kris disappeared with a red spark after he vanished.

Kris was being teleported to another world in a red stream with blindly lights appearing and disappearing becoming a absolutely dark atmosphere.

"This how it feels to pass through a gate? It's almost unfair," said Kris. "I feel so flimsy. What if a monster suddenly attacks while I'm off guard?

In the void, a barrage of messages popped in his System. They were continuous and almost unending.
