Unknowingly she had built up a strong dependence on Yuu and right now she had no one but him to turn to. She felt ashamed but she really didn't have a choice.
She just wanted to be in his company so she hadn't thought much when she came to his house but after arriving at his house she couldn't help but get cold feet.
She didn't know what he thought of her now, it was a bit too presumptuous of her to expect him to help her after what had happened, but while she was contemplating whether to leave or stay the door opened suddenly breaking her out of her reverie.
She was stunned when she saw the familiar face she hadn't seen for a long time and she couldn't help but exclaim out in surprise "Kushina?"
She was so stunned that she didn't even react when she felt herself being embraced in a bear hug by Kushina.
It took her a few moments to register what had happened and when she did her eyes couldn't help but tear up again.
She didn't utter a single word as she just sobbed silently while hugging Kushina tightly as if she feared that the moment she let go, Kushina would be no more.
She who thought that she no longer had anyone she could rely on or genuinely cared about, she was given a chance to reunite with one of the most important people in her life.
Even Fugaku didn't hold nearly as much of a position in her heart as that of Kushina.
Thus her death had hit her hard and she had found it difficult to move on especially since the one who was responsible for her friend's death was supposedly one of her clansmen.
She felt ashamed to visit Kushina's grave and although she wanted to be there for her best friend's son, her situation didn't allow her to be of help.
But right now she was holding on to one of the most precious people in her life, and it was enough for the feelings and sorrow she had been holding back to come loose.
Mikoto just hugged Kushina while she sobbed endlessly, Kushina also teared up a bit as she soothingly rubbed Mikoto's back while giving her a comforting hug.
Yuu just closed the door as he watched Kushina pulling Mikoto with her to sit on the sofa, who was still clinging to her while bawling her eyes out.
Mikoto could finally let out all the negative emotions she had been holding back.....
...
Mikoto was walking back to her home after spending some time at Yuu's house. She was glad that she had taken the time to visit him because she was able to meet one of the most important people in her life.
Meeting up with Kushina made her feel refreshed and her worries about the future had been resolved a lot.
But Mikoto didn't know why but she couldn't help but let her mind wander back to the mark she found on Kushina's neck.
Mikoto's face became a bit flushed as she remembered the hickey she saw on Kushina's nape.
Minato was currently dead and with Kushina's character she wouldn't go out looking for fun, thus it should be with someone she knew.
Mikoto could only think of one person and because they were staying together, it seems the brother-sister relationship between
Yuu-kun and Kushina was not that pure after all.
Mikoto didn't know why but she felt a pang of jealousy along with anticipation at this revelation....
.....
Next day.....
....
After the early morning meeting with the higher-ups of his village, Yuu came back to his office.
As he sat in his chair Kushina floated out of his body and went to lay down on her usual spot on the sofa.
" Hey, Do you think Mikoto discovered something last night? The way she was looking at me was a bit weird " Kushina asked nonchalantly as she was looking through the 'Shinobi World Daily'.
" It doesn't look like it..... But the hickey is so obvious that it would be a surprise if she didn't find it. I told you to not be so wild" Yuu was 99% sure Mikoto must have seen it and she feigned ignorance.
He could only blame his Nee-san for being wild and making him act out in the process. It was all her fault for making a pure young man like him to do those things.
" Heh ~ I didn't see you acting so responsible while pounding me in your office ~" Kushina said with disdain as she gave the stink eye to Yuu who was trying to act like a victim.
Nobody would call him a victim if they saw what he did to her.
" *Cough* I was just saying that we should be a bit more responsible " Yuu was a bit embarrassed but he was an Uchiha who embodied the principles of his Great Ancestor Madara thus he bullshitted with a straight face.
Kana just stood behind Itsuki while maintaining a professional smile, she wasn't the least bit affected by the conversation.
Kana was the person who knew the two people in the room the best, and she was one of the people Yuu trusted the most.
In a way, Kana treated Yuu like her son but their relationship was much more explicit than a normal wholesome relationship but both of them didn't care...
