chapt 3, spirit roots awakening

When a child reaches the age of nine .They will awaken their spirit root if not they can not cultivate .

Some can be earlier but are hard to come by they are hailed as the top amongst Guinness. Normally they get spirit roots between the age of 9 to 17 avaraging at 13 years old.

After awakening it you can finally sense the qi in around you and absorb it into your body .Though some geniuses awaken and can sense qi early. Some even become body cultivators after not awakening spirit root though they are very rare.

Spirit roots have grades and those determine how far you can go in your journey. The grades for spirit roots are almost random but talented parents will have better chances of talented children. Its almost impossible to change talent.

There are treasures can increase the child's talent before the child is born or after but they are extremely rare .You can go past your roots limit but it's hard. They control your speed so many die before they can pass it.

Pure Body cultivators don't use spirit roots and qi and treasures to temper and train using resources crazy amounts for faster improvement .It permanently boosts body, giving great physical power, durability and speed.

Manuals for it are very rare as not many choose this expensive.method .

Some high grade cultivation manuals can do both Though the body tempering tends to be a little less than body cultivation manuals but are also less expensive. Such cultivation manuals are exceptional and are well kept and rare.

While sleeping Frank got woken up by a strange feeling in his body. It was like ants were crawling on and inside his body .This feeling went on for hours and soon it got painful too .

This went on rampantly in his body for 2 hours by the time it was over he was sweating and panting like he ran a marathon.A soothing sensation filled his body letting him relax .He immediately collapsed back to sleep after from the mental fatigue of it .

Waking up again, I saw light shining through my window looking outside. The sun was already high in the sky .Then the memory of what happened returned .I could feel something happened to my body .

I jumped off the bed and ran around the house looking for my father. I was shouting his name while going through the rooms he normally is in .

And soon I found him with outside he was sparring with tilda and instructing her on swords.

Father something happened to me tonight, I said running towards them .They stopped their spar when they saw my approaching.

" Tell me whats so important you even skipped greeting us after stopping our spar ?" he asked .

I think I awaked my spirit root dad .

" Really that'd good news come here and let me check it for you ."

Bett went to sit in the table under the shade

. He pulled out a strange disk shaped plate with engravings all over it .

" This is an array used by the sect to test the type and estimate grading of spirit roots. Since I'm responsible for the sect entrance exams lately the sect made one for me .All you have to do is drop your blood in here and will see how it reacts "

Frank sat on the other side listening to his father .

Looking at the big array plate on table .

Frank took the sword his father was using and made a small cut on his hand. Blood dropped on the plate and the array lit up .

Sparks and electrical strings moved above the array another part of it shone with a deep blue colour with the inscriptions for sky shining brightly .

Bett started laughing wildly while Tilda looked at the results with a smile on her beautiful face .

Good kid ,good kid said Bett calming down from his laughing fit .You have peak sky grade spirt roots .Pretty sure you figured out the Rare lightning attributes to it.

Talent is divided into the grades ,human ,earth ,sky ,heaven. heaven is known be the highest and most rare of all .

The grade of root doesn't affect how far you can go much.

People have gone beyond what the grade said by lucky encounters and resources.

It mostly affects the speed of your Qi absorption inturn the speed of cultivation. It also improves on your ability to comprehend arts related the spirit root.

Comprehensive ability isn't dependent on talent .

You can have trash talent but excellent comprehensive ability and be on par with other geniuses

Bett explained to the confused Frank .

He went on explaining the all the levels of cultivation he knew about in greater detail.

" Now all you have to do is sense the qi and manually absorb it into your body .

You can try it on your own ,once you manage to sense tell me so I can help you with it .

Frank stayed to continuing to chat with his father while Tilda brought them food to eat .

Bett explained in detail about the intricacies of the cultivation realms and how to go through them he was more specific on the body refining and qi channeling stage .

After explaining it to Frank , Bett took out a stack of books and manuals putting them in the table removing the array plate .

These are all the human and earth grade martial arts I have. Choose what you think will be good for you. Much as I want to select them for you you have to choose them yourself, take one movement, 2 palm or fist techniques and dagger arts . Defensive and offensive.

I took the books and started browsing through them and sorting then out.

He had 5 dagger techniques ,17 palm and fist and 11 movement techniques. The rest were sword ,spear and other weapons .

The he read the description on the books to understand them and in the end he choose the following.

Floating feather step ,allows practicer to move as light as a feather floating on water and with greater mastery they can perform a double jump and stay in the air longer . Neutral technique .

Shadowless dagger art, unleash attacks so fast they leave no shadow, speed and power to make deadly wounds on the enemy .

Then a defensive art to block and parry attacks and create opening for counter attacks .

This one was based on using feints and tricks to attack .

one hand to hand , mountain mandril fist styles. That will make your punches powerful and fierce.

I choose to train in those 4 combat manuals.

You can go to the cultivation room and cultivate. There is a qi gathering array there.

I sat down cross legged and tried to sense the Qi around him.

Frank stayed meditating for hours, but he still couldn't sense the Qi. Despite feeling impatient he kept on and when night came he could finally sense feel the Qi entering his body.

Yes I did it within a day not bad talent from me.
