Kitty

As I went into my room and changed into my black pajamas. Walking up the stairs weakens my body since it's been a while since I've gotten some exercises.

It reminds me that I should take some training to get stronger. As I turned off the lamp next to my bed, everything went dark, until I could see the reflection of the moonlight through the window.

The moon was bright enough that I could see the night sky, like white fog surrounding it. I drew back the blankets and underneath the covers. I like the feeling of being wrapped tightly around me, even though you can still feel the coldness through the blanket.

I drouse into deep slumber until there's nothing more.

----

Something kept tugging at me from the darkness, a chirping noise kept piercing within ears. As I woke to the sensation of languid and annoyance to the noise, I turned toward right to see Crown chirping loudly enough that I had an urge to force Crown to be quiet.

Something about that line of thinking felt uncomfortable, so I just got up, despite wanting to back underneath the covers.

Crown quieted down at the expression on my face until I heard his voice in my head, "Hey, it's time to get up. It's past 10a.m., do you want to get something to eat in the kitchen?"

Crown laughed at the stoic look on my face til I waited for him to leave, so I could get dressed. Before leaving through the doors, "I'll meet you downstairs."

I groaned as I got up from the bed, till it took me about twenty minutes to get dressed. I decided to wear a black skirt, although the sensation of the cold beneath the skirt is uncomfortable, but I'll get used to it as I get some sunlight. Then I wore a black t-shirt as well with a few bracelets.

As I walk pass through the doors and walk downstairs. There were students and teachers walking around me, some of them going about their day, not phased by a new student.

Walking past the hallway where I could see a painting of the old man with stern eyes, there were yells through the door.

That's where I found Crown and a strange-looking girl with blue glasses and short brown hair. Her appearance gives her away that she isn't a human.

The girl with the blue glasses has two upright ears on her head, similar to dogs ears. There was something on her clothes, it could be spaghetti or some kind of pasta.

"Why didn't you look where you're going? I was right in front of you, Kitty" yelled the girl with the blue glasses as the other girl with long black hair who grinned maliciously.

Then she said, "Sorry, Ashley, I must have said the wrong words since I should've been in my room."

Ashley glared at her with loathing eyes as she walked away. The rest of the students went back to their business while others just watched the drama.

Walking toward Crown as both of them looked toward me. Crown flapped his wings until he landed on the girl's shoulders, who was called Kitty.

Kitty looked at me with contemptuous eyes as if she was trying to figure me out. She grinned, "Yo, Crown told me about you. Do you wanna get something to eat? The food here isn't so bad, like the other schools."

Crown chirps as he shakes his head. It was odd to see a crow shaking his head in a human manner.

I considered her offer, "Yea, what do you have here?"

"There's pancakes, waffles, toasts, and other things." She replied as I walked to her. They led me to the other end of the room, where I could see the lunch ladies with the hairnet passing out food to each student.

We went to look at the food, till I decided to get a chicken sandwich, whereas Kitty decided to get pancakes along with some fruits. As we left the cafeteria, I asked, "Where are we going to sit?"

She pointed at the table where there were less people. I smirk at the same choice I would've made since I don't like to be surrounded by people as well.

We pulled out the chairs that made soft screeching noises till we sat down. I asked, "What was that about?"

She grins coldly, "Oh that, it's a long story. My kind and her kind have held hostility and animosity toward each for decades."

I looked at her with interest, "Your kind?"

She looks at me with bewilderment, "You don't know what I am? I'm a sorcerer. What are you?"

I didn't say anything, untill Crown decided to speak up, "It hasn't been decided yet. We could tell she isn't human, but we haven't figured out what she is since she hasn't taken the test."

Crown gave me a narrowed look that told me I shouldn't talk about my true identity. Kitty looks intrigued by the discovery, "Really, how interesting. I wonder which one you are?"

As I drank the water, Crown's voice was heard in my head, "Dawn, don't reveal your identity. It's too risky, Ross and I will talk to you about it later."

Finishing the drink as I told Kitty, "Thanks for the conversation, but I'm going to go. We'll talk more later."

Kitty seems surprised by the lack of food I ate, but grinned as a response, "Alright, I'll hold on to that. See you later."

I nodded as I got up from the chair as voices were heard around me. Crown made a chirping noise as he flew from Kitty's shoulder until he flew on to my shoulders, which caught me off guard.

Looking at Crown, "Hey, why are you on my shoulders?"

"Uhh, I can't walk and I'm tired of flying, so I'll be on your shoulders for the rest of the day." Crown flapped his wings as he chirped loudly, then we walked out of the cafeteria together.
