Samar wandered the streets, thinking of how he would be able to amass the necessary sum.
If he was still in Barbarian Village, he would never have been able to earn even a single Gold Coin without killing a Boss solo. Things were different now that he was in an Elven Town.
Torana Town had access to the Auction house connected to Panjal City and all the other towns under it. Even though the number of Players was a little lacking, there were numerous NPC merchants who also made use of the Auction House.
Drops of the Monsters around Torana Town were also much more valuable. Samar had seen an NPC merchant buy tiny red crystals called Blood Seeds dropped by Tier 1 monsters for 10 Silver each.
There were many more methods to earn money in Town as compared to Barbarian Village, but before that, Samar had to stock up on some White-Wood Grade arrows.
The White-Wood grade Redwood Longbow he used was suitable for Lv5 Players and had long fallen behind in attack power. However, he still used it as he had not found a suitable replacement for it.
Samar could have bought a new bow off the market, but Bows, in general, were hard to find. Also, his higher-than-average stats were enough to tide him over in Barbarian Village. So, he never felt the urgent need to make such an expensive, useless purchase.
His situation was different in Torana Town. The stats of monsters had received a significant boost with upgrades in level and tier.
Samar could still use his Redwood Longbow to kill monsters but he would have to shoot 100 arrows instead of 10. It would have been fine if arrows were free, but they were consumables and cost him coppers.
He could not afford a loss using consumables worth 10 coppers to gain loot worth just 3 or 4 coppers. Hence, he needed to upgrade his firepower to make the effort worthwhile.
Short of buying an Lv10 Bow, the only method Samar could think of was purchasing White-Wood Grade Arrows with better attack power.
He walked into the nearest store selling arrows - Herim's Miscellaneous Store.
This shop sold all sorts of consumable items like Arrows, Magic Scrolls, Magic Bombs, Pet Trapping Devices, etc. As soon as he stepped inside, Samar could see why consumables needed a separate store.
There were hundreds of varieties of Magic Scrolls alone, arranged neatly on the shelf behind the counter. From Tier 0 to Tier 2 spells, a large variety of them was on offer.
Traps and Pet Capturing Devices had a dedicated section for themselves in the left corner of the store. Magic Bombs, Return Scrolls, miscellaneous potions, equipment, and goods took up another corner of the store.
The target of his journey, the Arrows, were displayed on the central counter, opposite to the door. Samar spotted six types of Arrows on display- Two types of Ash-Gray arrows and Four types of White-Wood grade arrows.
There was even a quiver full of Black-Stone grade arrows for sale in the shop, which served as the main attraction.
Samar was shocked by the variety of arrows offered by a small store. However, on second thought he realized it was only natural.
The Elven NPCs were innate Archers. They had developed a wide variety of arrows that dealt damage similar to some skills even if they were shot normally. It was one of the reasons why Samar had chosen to join the Elven Faction.
In fact, he doubted even the Holy Human Empire or the Death Kingdom could match the repertoire of arrows that Elves possessed.
Recognizing the opportunity, Samar decided to improve his knowledge of the various types of arrows, starting with the lowest grade.
The two Ash-Grey Grade variations of ordinary arrows each had a different type of arrowhead. One was the more pricey armor-piercing variant while the other was the ordinary variant most players used.

The stats of the arrow were definitely great, but they were ripping off players, with a price like 30 Coppers for a stack of these arrows. It was 3 times as expensive as the Ordinary 2-2 attack power arrows Samar normally used.
He put it back and moved on to White-Wood grade arrows.
The White-Wood Grade variant of the ordinary arrows had double the attack power of Ash-Gray Grade arrows, but its cost was also 10 times higher!
There was also an Armor-Piercing variant with an attack power of 8, priced at 2 silver 50 coppers a stack. Samar was not interested in the two of them and moved to the last two White-Wood Grade Arrows, the Elemental Arrows.
There were two types of Elemental Arrows, Wind-Tail Arrow and Firetip Arrow, both priced at 3 Silvers a stack.

The Elemental arrows boosted the skills that dealt elemental damage to the enemy.
For example, if Samar used the Firetip arrow normally, it would not deal any extra damage. However, if he used it when his Flame Ward was active, the extra +20% Fire Damage dealt would be enhanced by 5% and become 24%.
Some higher-grade Elemental arrows also dealt a fixed amount of Elemental damage to the target on top of normal damage, just like Rune-Forged arrows.
However, the Elemental arrows were not the same as 'Rune-Forged' arrows. Elemental arrows used trace amounts of elemental materials during crafting to grant the arrows elemental properties.
On the other hand, Rune-Forged arrows used common materials and used Rune inscriptions to grant the arrow elemental properties.
The former was more costly to produce due to materials than the latter. Even so, Elemental arrows were cheaper than the Rune-Forged arrows in the market, the chief reason being its common availability.
Rune-Forged Arrows required a very specific type of skill set while any Blacksmith or Archer could craft Elemental arrows as long as they had materials.
Seeing this, Samar could smell a business opportunity. Making Rune-Forged arrows was hard for others, but he had learned how to make them. If he sold White-Wood Grade Rune-Forged Arrows, he would make a fortune in no time.
Samar ignored the Black-Stone Grade Arrows, which had attracted most of the customers, and made his way to the Craftsman association.
