Smile

Their intimate moment was abruptly interrupted as the shop attendant cleared his throat loudly, reminding them of their surroundings.

Remo and Abby quickly straightened up, her faces flushed with a mixture of desire and embarrassment.

"Is there anything else I can help you with?" the attendant asked with an awkward smile, clearly aware of the tension he had interrupted.

Remo cleared his throat, his tone regaining its composure. "Yes, actually," he said, glancing at Abby with a mischievous twinkle in his eye. "We're looking for a wedding ring, but we will take this necklace too."

The shop attendant nodded, trying to regain his professionalism after the unexpected interruption. "Of course, Mr. Quinn.

Right this way." He led them to a different section of the boutique, away from the tantalizing distractions of the necklaces and other jewelry.

The selection of wedding rings was as impressive as the rest of the store. Rows upon rows of rings glistened in their cases, each one unique in its design and gemstones. Abby hesitantly started browsing, examining various styles and sizes, trying to imagine what would suit her hand and symbolize their arrangement.

After some time, she came across a simple yet elegant platinum band with a single, sparkling diamond. It had a timeless appeal that spoke to her, and she delicately lifted it from its cushioned display.

"This one," she said softly, holding it up for Remo to see. "It feels right."

Remo's eyes met hers, a warm smile playing on his lips. "It's perfect," he agreed, his gaze filled with a tenderness that belied their unique circumstances.

The shop attendant nodded approvingly. "A lovely choice, Miss. This particular ring is a symbol of timeless elegance and enduring love."

Abby blushed, feeling the weight of the moment as she imagined wearing the ring on her finger. It was a symbol not just of their unconventional partnership but of the connection they were forging.

Remo leaned in closer, his voice low and intimate. "You have excellent taste, Abby," he murmured, his breath sending a shiver down her spine. "That ring will look stunning on your hand."

The shop attendant, ever the professional, swiftly took the ring to prepare it for Abby. As he did so, he discreetly glanced at Remo and Abby, a knowing smile on his face. He had witnessed many couples come and go, each with their unique stories, but there was something undeniably intriguing about this pair.

In a short while, the ring was ready, presented in a small, elegant box. Abby couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation as Remo took the box from the attendant and turned back to her.

He held the box out to her, a smirk on his face.

"My sweet darling Abigail, will you accept this ring as a symbol of our commitment to each other?" he asked, looking entertained.

Abby flicked her eyes to his, heat spreading to her cheeks. Even though this wasn't the best proposal or what she thought her dream proposal would be, her stupid heart couldn't stop fluttering.

He cocked his eyebrows at her, encouraging her to answer his question.

"Yes, Remo," she said, her voice choked with emotion. "I accept."

Remo's smile was radiant as he gently took the ring from the box and slid it onto Abby's finger. It fit perfectly, as if it had always been meant to be there

A round of applause erupted from the shop attendant, who had been an amused witness to this unorthodox proposal. "Congratulations!" he cheered, offering his heartfelt well wishes to the couple.

Abby felt heat rise up her neck to her checks as she offered the attendant a shy smile.

Remo's eyes focused on her lips momentarily, before they looked back up

"I think I really like your smile."

Her cheeks deepened the crimson shade they were already tinted and she couldn't help but smile wider as she looked on the floor.

Remo's gaze held a playful glint as he leaned in closer, his lips dangerously close to Abby's ear. "You know, Abby, it's my mission in life to see that beautiful smile of yours as often as possible."

His warm breath tickled her ear, sending delightful shivers down her spine.

Abby's heart raced at Remo's whispered words, and she couldn't help but shiver, nerves running through her. His proximity was electrifying.

She turned her head slightly, her lips brushing against his ear as she responded in a soft, shy tone, "W-Well, Mr. Quinn, you're doing a very good job so far."

Remo's eyes darkened with desire as he met Abby's gaze. "Then I'll make it my life's work," he murmured.
