With a calculated gaze, Lily narrowed her eyes at Alex, her voice dripping with insinuation. "It's just interesting how you seem to be so captivated by Abby's every move," she remarked, her tone laced with accusation. "Almost as if you can't take your eyes off her."

Alex's eyes widened in surprise, a flush creeping up his neck as he stumbled over his words. "N-no, Lily, it's not like that at all," he protested, his voice betraying a hint of uncertainty.

Lily raised an eyebrow, her expression skeptical. "Really?" she countered, her tone sharp. "Because it certainly seems like you're more interested in her than in me."

Alex's gaze darted nervously around the room, his discomfort palpable. "Lily, you're being ridiculous," he insisted, though his words lacked conviction. "I love you, you know that."
