Preparations

The next morning, Raquel awoke as a bright light hit her face. She turned in her bed to see Nicole opening her curtains and letting the rising sun’s light enter the dark room.

“Time to get up, your highness.” Nicole said in an indifferent tone as she turned to look at Raquel.

Raquel raised her left hand over her face, rubbing her eyes. “Don’t remind me. Also I think sleeping in for five more minutes will do me good.”

Nicole sighed and walked over to Raquel’s bed. She picked up a jug filled with water from the nightstand and lifted it over Raquel’s head.

“I think this will wake you up.” Nicole muttered as she tilted the jug, a few droplets of water splashing on Raquel’s face.

Raquel looked at the jug in Nicole’s hand and growled, “Alright I’m up.”

Nicole smiled and moved to the side, letting Raquel get out of bed. She then helped Raquel into a robe and led her to the bathroom.
