Monstrous Being

As a small wooden warehouse that had seen better days came to view, Raquel pulled the reins of her horse, getting the horse to slow down into a gentle trot. The place was secluded, with bushes and trees everywhere, hiding it from view on the main road.

Raquel quickly noticed a servant standing on guard as she pulled to a stop in front of the warehouse. She jumped off the horse and tied the reins to a nearby tree.

“Is she inside?” Raquel asked as she walked over to the servant.

The woman nodded her head and bowed. “Yes, your highness. She’s currently unconscious, but the spell has been used on her.”

“Good…” Raquel pulled out an envelope and a small purse from her pocket. “Take this and head to the Northern Territory with your family. Governor Elis will give you a place to stay where no harm will come to you… Just remember your promise.”

“Thank you, your highness. I will take this secret to my grave.” The servant bowed once more before taking the items from Raquel.
