I finished collecting the samples and gave them to Sky carefully who neatly put them back into a box. I stretched and sighed. I sat down behind the desk and I told her what happened.
Sky listened closely before giving me advice. We talked nicely after and she mentioned another group of students would be there in 10 minutes. I was quite happy after it and felt relieved. She had a better effect on me than any psychiatrist. I felt better and followed her advice, like always. But this time she couldn't do much but listen but it made me feel way better. I stretched and smiled honestly for the first time in a long while. "I think I may stay and help you with the next wave of students." I said and laughed a bit. Sky nodded and smiled. "Sure. I don't think my boss would mind." She added and giggled a bit.
After the next wave of students left, I left as well after helping Sky pack up everything. I started to head back to the tram and saw the kids from earlier that day. I cursed under my breath. The tram arrived and I sat in the front. The kids ran to the tram and the teachers held the doors open. The kids were again being kids but this time they talked and sat still. Talking about animals they saw in the alpine zoo.
I chuckled slightly once I realized where they had gone. The alpine zoo was boring to me and Zoos were unethical in general. I won't get into detail but I found it amusing that these kids were taken to a place that I knew was boring. The tram departed and made its way back. I was glad that I was going to be home soon. The tram stopped and I groaned. I knew what was probably up ahead, knowing my luck. I looked out and yup. I was right. A villain stopped the tram. I hid my face and didn't do anything. I was retired for now. Save would kill me if she learnt that I had made such a fast recovery, after I was in a deep hole for a couple of weeks. She would see it as unlogical.
The teachers told the kids to stay quiet and to hope that a hero would do something. Too bad no hero in work was on the tram.
"I-Isn't that Ratel?" A kid suddenly said and pointed at me. I hid my face further. "Maybe. But Ratel would have jumped in already!" A different kid said.
I sighed. They held high expectations to me from what it looked like and I only beat crimes where I was nearby that happened at that time. That's why I was on point. And the ACS seemed to know it. Good. I didn't have to fight.
The top-ranking hero, a male that was basically a huge part of the government by now, arrived and landed. The street cracked as the guy landed. He wore a military uniform. I assumed a high rank like major or general but I was clueless. I wasn't enlisted since I had been a hero at the time and it was clear that I did community service for as long as I would have if I had chosen to do it, instead of the draft, if not longer.
The hero looked at the villain and a fight ensued. I exited the Tram and watched. If I got hit by something and died so, be it. I didn't care about that ever since my failed suicide attempt. Death didn't threaten me. At least not really.
The hero swung punches and the villain took them like nothing, while Peacemaker, the hero obviously, took damage that healed quickly. "Why aren't you out yet?" Peacemaker yelled at the villain, confused and slightly afraid. The villain laughed and swung another punch of his own. Peacemaker flung at the tram and indented it. I sighed and turned to help the passengers out of the Tram and to the nearby houses, far enough away. I wanted to keep watching but the civilians stopped me and thanked me. Annoying.
The hero looked terrifies and his eyes rested on the villain. "That's what you get Andreas Antonius." The villain said and laughed, just having dropped the real name of the number one hero in Austria. "Or well. What do you call yourself now? Peacekeeper?" He asked and hit him in the gut. The hero took the hit and tried to retaliate but I knew he would lose. Peacemakers eyes were filled with rage as he tried to keep fighting. Punches flung but I didn't get a grasp on the power of the villain. I get it. He was strong but that couldn't be it by itself, right? I was strong too, even if it didn't look like it.
Peacemaker was slowly getting beaten into a bloody pulp, his secondary power, the super healing, which was forced onto him by the government was trying to heal but couldn't catch up. The villain suddenly made a movement with his hands and nothing. "You think you can keep peace when I exist? No one will be able to keep peace from now on." The villain said and laughed before piercing Peacemakers chest and ripping his heart out and holding it up into the air like an athlete would hold a trophy. The villain laughed crazily. "Fear Peacebreaker." He exclaimed as he crushed the heart, killing Peacemaker. The Krempton-Law in full effect. He then stretched and adjusted his outfit, which had gotten a bit damaged. He jumped into the air and basically flew away.
I had noticed something, as I had only enhanced my eyes, as to see the trapped civilians better. Peacebreaker as he called himself, seemed invincible but the Krempton-Law stopped immortality and complete invincibility. He could be a very strong healer, alongside having strength. Maybe he was an alien living under us, that could heal that fast, yet chopping of the head or ripping the heart out just like Peacebreaker just did usually did the trick, but who really knew what he was. He wore a mask and suit that hid his whole body after all. He could even be a drone of someone that is sitting in a chair with a neural link in their head. I shrugged it off and started to walk home. I did not want to be caught in another interview from the news about the incident.
