Delilah woke up from her dream with a gasp, breathing heavily.
After bringing Delilah back from the cliff and making her sleep on the bed, Grace allowed Delilah's body enough time to relax so she wouldn't find out they had walked so much just a few minutes ago.
However, Delilah's mind was somewhere else.
This time, she didn't forget the face of the person who pushed her down the cliff, and it left a bitter taste in her mouth.
She thought –
"Delilah, are you awake?"
Delilah looked towards the room door and quickly wiped her cheeks to remove the reminiscent of any tears.
She didn't want to reply to Zephyr because she didn't want him to see her like this, but she also knew he could hear her heartbeat perfectly and knew she was awake.
"Come in," Delilah said.
Zephyr walked inside the dark room.
One look at Delilah was enough to tell him she dreamt of something terrible again, and he sighed.
