Her pain

Delilah felt as if thousands of needles were pricking her skin.

She was in significant discomfort. It was painful and agitating, and she knew she needed to open her eyes if she wanted to save herself from this torment.

However, no matter how hard she tried, an immeasurable force pressured her eyes to remain closed.

The events on that path to the restaurant revolved in her head, and she knew she was nowhere safe.

If anything, these people kidnapped her on someone's order, and the way they carried out the operation, she knew they had done good research on her, or they wouldn't have rendered her unconscious immediately.

Delilah tried to communicate with her wolf. She tried to call Grace, but no matter how hard she tried, the wolf was out of reach, as if in a deep slumber, just like her.

The emptiness in her heart made her feel hollow and helpless.
