Chapter 3849: The School Doctor's "Daily Life" (27)

"Can you teach me black magic?" Shiller asked.

Mephisto widened his eyes and said, "What? You want to learn black magic? What do you need that stuff for?"

"Never mind. Anyway, I want to learn it. Are you going to teach me or not?"

"We can make a deal," Mephisto immediately climbed onto the bandwagon, "You help me convince Chris to give me more screen time, and I'll teach you black magic."

"You'll guarantee results?"

"I'll guarantee results."

"Alright," Shiller said, "But don't get your hopes up too high. At most, I'll just mention 'Mephisto' a few more times..."

"No problem," Mephisto agreed cheerfully. His main goal for getting involved in filmmaking was to promote himself, to make the name "Mephisto" a household name. Even if it's just mentioned a few more times in the movie, given the film's popularity, appearing just once more could bring in hundreds of thousands of followers. It's a guaranteed profit.

"Alright, so how do you plan to teach me?"

"That's simple. I'll send you a compressed file."

As soon as Mephisto finished speaking, Shiller felt that something extra appeared in his Tower of Thought, as if someone had transmitted a piece of information through a brainwave.

He opened it, and wow, Mephisto is definitely keeping up with the times, turning it into an online course.

What he sent over were images of those black magicians using magic back in the day. Since most of the black magicians were his followers, Mephisto could see their every move, naturally allowing him to record their research processes.

This is much better than dry lectures because if you have the research process, you can understand how certain things are deduced. This kind of process is more suitable for learning.

Moreover, these things are directly transmitted through brainwaves, which can be directly understood in the brain without going through the senses, directly assigned to the brain's areas. It's much faster than reading books or listening to lectures in the real world.

Shiller immediately started unzipping the files. Although the speed wasn't very fast, once he understood a part, he could start explaining it to Night Owl, without delaying anything.

Shiller spent most of the day finishing the basics of black magic and then left a note on the nightstand in Night Owl's dorm, arranging to meet in the Magic Forest at night.

Sure enough, Night Owl sneaked out of school at night, and his figure was seen by Primary Universe Batman and Arkham Batman.

"Why is he going to the forest again?" Arkham Batman asked with a frown.

"If nothing unexpected happens, he should be going to meet Shiller," Primary Universe Batman said.

Arkham Batman turned to look at him.

"Night Owl will go to Shiller about the curse. This time, Shiller won't say he can't break the curse but will try to trick him."

"Why?"

"This doctor is different from the PhD," Primary Universe Batman said, "The PhD is someone who avoids trouble, very lazy. But this doctor won't let any opportunity slip by. Even if he knows it might be me causing trouble behind the scenes, he'll still use the situation to his advantage and try to do something, aiming to push Night Owl into a deeper hole."

"So what did he do?"

"He would probably lie that he can break the curse. Now that Night Owl has entered the Magic Forest, he's probably going to break the curse."

"What benefit does that bring us?"

"Handing him over to Doctor Shiller is the biggest advantage. The doctor is bound to trick him, Night Owl won't gain anything, and it can also keep the doctor's attention distracted. We can do other things."

"What are you planning?"

"According to Night Owl's information, the Magic Forest indeed has many rare plants and animals. Compared to magic itself, these animals and plants might be more practically valuable. I want to conduct biochemical research on them, but rushing into the forest unprepared is unwise. Where else do you think we can get these things?"

"So you led Night Owl to Doctor Shiller just to get them out of the school hospital so you could go in and find materials?"

Primary Universe Batman nodded and said, "Regarding the study of magic theory, everyone's progress is pretty much the same. The only way to make more progress is to take a different path. I have confidence in biology and chemistry. What about you?"

Arkham Batman thought about it and said, "I'm more interested in mechanics, actually I want to use magic to modify my Batmobile. However, I haven't heard of any magic mechanics."

"Of course there is, I encountered this universe's Iron Man, and he seemed to have this kind of technology, but unfortunately, he's not teaching at this school. Perhaps you could find a way to bring him over."

Arkham Batman nodded and said, "That's right, if I could talk to him, I might learn something. So, shall we split up and take action next?"

"Yes, don't forget to tell the other people to find a field they are interested in to research. While Night Owl is busy wasting time breaking the curse, we can get ahead of him."

Arkham Batman finally understood the full scope of Primary Universe Batman's plan. Actually, it's quite simple, making use of Night Owl's revelation that he's visited the forest, rewriting the encyclopedia, leading Night Owl to the library, letting him discover the secret room, then making him think he's been cursed, pressuring him into going to the school hospital, then leveraging Shiller's initiative to lead Night Owl away from the school.

That way, while Night Owl is busy outsmarting Shiller, Primary Universe Batman can overtake him, leading in other fields.

"I have an idea," Arkham Batman suddenly said, "We can find Iron Man's short video account and use that account to get in touch with him."

"You want to talk to him directly? But I'm afraid that's not possible. This person is quite..." Primary Universe Batman paused for a moment and said, "I'm not slandering him, but he's the type who says one thing and does another. If you directly invite him, he might actually not want to come."

"What if I pose as his fan?" Arkham Batman seemed to have planned everything already, and he said, "Magic movies are so popular, and as his fan, it's quite normal to want him to make a cameo, isn't it?"

"However, his relationship with the Supreme Magician isn't very good either. They seem to have drawn their own territories."

"Even better, as long as we can lure him in, maybe we can use him to counter the Supreme Magician. Haven't you always been skeptical about the Supreme Magician leading the Human Alliance?"

"I'm more skeptical about Iron Man leading the Human Alliance."

"We won't know which is better until we compare them." Arkham Batman opened some short videos, swiping through them as he said, "Trust me, it won't be long before we welcome a new professor."

In the midsummer, the night sky over New York was particularly clear. A blue meteor streaked across, and couples on rooftop observation decks pulled out their phones to take pictures.

After time had passed, most people already knew that the meteor streaking through the New York sky at midnight was likely Iron Man, but it didn't stop them from taking pictures to check in and post short videos.

Stark, this time, wasn't intentionally showing off his battlesuit. He flew over the Osborn Tower just in time to see Peter crouching at the edge of the rooftop, eyes a little red.

"Harry cried really hard," Peter said, "He lost his father."

"When is Old Osborn's funeral scheduled?"

"Next Monday." Peter coughed twice and said, "There should be many people coming to mourn him."

Stark patted his shoulder and said, "It was his choice. His son will understand him. Besides, the Osborn Group is pretty good right now, Little Osborn is quite capable."

"Rare to hear you praise someone," Peter shrugged off his gloom and said.

Stark curled his lips and said, "I admit that in business, I'm not as good as Osborn. If it weren't for Pepper, I'd be annoyed to death by those people."

Peter took a deep breath, ready to change the subject: "How's the lawsuit with that imposter going?"

"Haha, he's already been banned." Stark cheerfully waved his phone and said, "Now there's only one genuine Iron Man!"

"Well, that's not bad." Peter leaned over to look at his phone screen, "How many videos have you posted? Have you greeted your fans?"

"Not much, just posted over a dozen videos of the mecha. My follower growth is a bit slow, do you think I should show my face to prove I'm the real Iron Man?"

"I think you should. That imposter didn't have any face videos before, probably because you never showed your face in the mecha. If you shoot a video like that, it should go viral."

Stark deeply agreed. Then Peter hugged his shoulder and said, "Let's shoot a video together, so my fans will also follow you. The Third Generation Spider-Man has been quiet for a long time, our new video will definitely go viral."

The two didn't waste time and quickly shot a video of Spider Man and Iron Man flying together in the New York sky. After landing, Iron Man even lifted his face mask.

The video indeed went viral overnight, quickly reaching the top trending spot, and pushed to almost everyone interested in superheroes. Stark's followers skyrocketed, and he couldn't stop smiling.

"Hahaha, many people sent private messages praising me." Stark pointed at the screen like a child and said, "Peter look, they all say I'm handsome. Hahahahaha!"

Stark kept checking through one private message after another. Suddenly, when he saw a certain account's message, his smile faded quite a bit.

"Damn." He couldn't help complaining, "Steven, that guy just made a movie, so why is everyone talking about him? I even made a documentary, isn't anybody watching it?"

"Um, what did he say?" Peter leaned over again to look.

"He asked when he could see me in that movie. How should I reply? Can I really say Strange didn't even invite me to be in it?!"

Peter hesitated for a moment and said, "Did you ask Steven?"

"Why should I ask him!" Stark snapped back as if his tail had been stepped on, "If he wants the great Iron Demon God to be in it, he should actively invite me!!"

"Alright alright." Peter waved his hand and took out his phone.

Stark squinted and said, "What are you going to do? You aren't going to tell on me, are you?"

"How could I? We're best buddies." Peter said as he messaged Strange, "You better invite Tony to your Magic Academy to visit, then have him make a cameo in your Magic movie. Doctor Schiller isn't in New York, no one can handle him, he's gonna get provoked again into the psychiatric hospital."

Strange was in the principal's office reviewing the lesson plan when his phone dinged beside him. He picked it up and saw Peter's message, then dialed a number.

"Hey? Tony? No big deal, just saw your video went viral, and wanted to invite you to come by to shoot a promotional video. Do you have time?"

"Uh, if you're sincerely inviting, it's not like I can't go," Stark's voice came from the other end, "Just to shoot a promotional video?"

"A cameo is fine too, but it really depends on the director's decision..."

Thump thump. The window was knocked upon, Strange turned to look, Stark's Mech with glowing eyes was staring at him intently through the stained glass.
