Chapter 853: The School Doctor's "Daily Routine" (31)

Primary Universe Batman quickly rushed in the direction where the white eagle was flying, with several Batmans following behind him. Originally, Night Owl and the others didn't intend to go over, and only pretended to run a few steps before stopping. But when they stopped, Night Owl glanced in the direction of the eagle—this white eagle was holding Lego Batman and flying towards the Magic Forest.

Night Owl felt uneasy. He and Saphire were learning black magic deep in the Magic Forest, and although they wouldn't leave any evidence near the hut, they hadn't deliberately covered their tracks. If it was someone else, it would be okay, but with so many Batmans rushing over together, someone would surely discover the clues.

He immediately lifted his leg and chased in the direction of the Primary Universe Batman. The Primary Universe Batman caught a glimpse of his pursuing figure from the corner of his eye and slowly lifted the corners of his mouth.

The white eagle that captured Lego Batman seemed completely unaware that it had grabbed a plastic figure that couldn't be eaten, carrying Lego Batman deep into the Magic Forest. The Primary Universe Batman led Arkham Batman and Adventure Batman into the Magic Forest.

Of course, everyone knew the Supreme Magician didn't allow students into the Magic Forest, but this was a life-and-death situation. Whether or not the person was made of plastic, they were still dear friends and family. As Batmans committed to justice, how could they stand by and watch their fellow student be captured?

After the trio rushed in, Arkham Batman lowered his voice and asked, "Was this your doing?"

"Don't worry, I'll explain when we get back," said the Primary Universe Batman.

Arkham Batman noticed he deliberately slowed his pace, and Adventure Batman noticed too. They exchanged glances, understanding that the Primary Universe Batman had other motives, so they also slowed their steps.

Even though the terrain of the Magic Forest is complex, Batmans are skilled in rough terrain. Yet, the three of them now moved like novices, taking shallow and deep steps forward, as though afraid to leave someone behind by walking too quickly.

Before long, they heard faint sounds behind them. The Primary Universe Batman turned back and saw Night Owl and Injustice Batman hurrying to catch up. Now Arkham Batman knew he was walking slowly to wait for them.

Once the two groups merged, the Primary Universe Batman feigned caution, scanning left and right as he walked further inward. Despite this, his steps were no longer slow, as if eager to rescue someone, not wanting a slow advance, boldly moving forward.

Night Owl had been here more times than him. By observing the surrounding plants, he immediately judged the direction they were heading, directly towards the hut in the Magic Forest.

Night Owl grew a bit anxious. If they continued walking like this, it wouldn't be long before they discovered the hut, and then find traces of activities by him and Saphire nearby.

The Primary Universe Batman had already found clues of suspicious activity in the library. If he saw evidence at the hut, he'd undoubtedly connect the two. If he then found traces of his own activity, there'd be indisputable evidence of his contact with suspicious persons, with so many Batmans watching, he couldn't deny it. If it was exposed to the Supreme Magician...

Night Owl's heart beat faster. At the moment his heart rate changed, Arkham Batman suddenly turned to stare at him.

Night Owl's heart skipped abruptly; he felt as if he might collapse at any moment.

"Damn it!" he cursed inwardly. This guy was far too sharp, even advancing through such terrain still had the energy to monitor others' heartbeats. He mustn't lose his composure and reveal himself.

Night Owl was also skilled. He took several deep breaths quickly, working hard to control his heartbeat, but overly suppressing his heart rate made him feel dizzy; he tightened his muscles to control his steps and followed the Primary Universe Batman's lead.

"Do we really need to go deeper?" Injustice Batman asked hesitantly, "The Supreme Magician said the Magic Forest is very dangerous."

"We must go to save him," said the Primary Universe Batman. "If you think a plastic figure can't get hurt, you'd be wrong. Lego Batman went to the school infirmary on the first day, and several professors were at a loss regarding his injuries. Lucifer took action and saved him."

The group had heard about this but didn't expect Lego Batman to be so severely injured. But of course, being made of plastic, not metal alloy, how strong could a plastic toy be? If the white eagle's beak pecked him a couple of times, he'd likely be gravely injured.

The Primary Universe Batman had said this, so the others couldn't refute it, especially Night Owl. The Primary Universe Batman knew he had been to the Magic Forest, so if he tried to persuade them by saying "the Magic Forest is too dangerous" as an argument, he'd certainly be seen through by the Primary Universe Batman.

How troublesome! Night Owl once again felt things were spiraling beyond his control. Even the slightest sound of the wind amplified in his ears, the air flowing into his nose felt substantial, and seemed as though his eyes were sinking endlessly, until submerged in his brain matter.

Following behind the group, Shiller shook his head. Night Owl's anxiety almost materialized; he was evidently under explosive pressure. Fortunately, he hadn't lost his basic Batman skills; his willpower was fairly strong, allowing him to hold on without revealing himself.

In truth, Shiller thought the difference was quite significant between having Bruce Wayne as Batman and anyone else. Be it Thomas Wayne or Little Thomas Wayne, their talents completely paled in comparison to Bruce Wayne, resulting in them not being very formidable as Batmans.

The Night Owl can be said to be played around with by the Primary Universe Batman. The Primary Universe Batman didn't exert much effort; he just guided the trend, using leverage, and casually set a few traps, making him sweat profusely and difficult to handle.

Shiller followed over because he knew that it was probably the Primary Universe Batman making a move again.

Although his plan to trick the Night Owl was not fully coordinated with the Primary Universe Batman, the yarn maker always seems to have a tacit understanding. Shiller even suspected that the Primary Universe Batman started scheming from the very first day of school division.

Lego Batman being alone and assigned to Saturn Academy is indeed suspicious. It's not that there's anything bad about this academy, Lego Batman as a block-building expert going to an engineering college is normal. But Shiller always felt there was the handiwork of the Primary Universe Batman involved.

Lego Batman was assigned to Saturn Academy and couldn't go to the Neptune Academy he desired, so he charged into the Neptune Academy classroom, resulting in getting hit by a Magic Wand, becoming the first to end up in the school hospital, making headlines during the start of the school term, known to all teachers and students.

So when he was carried away by an eagle today, it became reasonable when the Primary Universe Batman said they were going to rescue him. After all, this guy was hit by a Magic Wand and is very fragile. The Justice Messengers going to the rescue immediately became too ordinary, even if Supreme Magician later questioned them, they could use this reason to deflect.

Knowing there might be a scheme by the Primary Universe Batman, Shiller didn't just come to watch the fun; he needed to add fuel to the fire of this big drama.

He had the gray mist, with variable speed. Previously, he followed behind Batman to listen to their conversation. But now, he had to get things done, so he accelerated and arrived at the back of the cabin in the blink of an eye. At this time, there was still quite a lot of time before Batman and the others arrived.

"Are you sure the eagle flew in this direction?" Night Owl frowned, looking ahead, and said worriedly, "That should just be an ordinary bald eagle, how could it fly into the Magic Forest?"

"I'm also very curious about this question," said the Primary Universe Batman. "The eagle's eyesight is very good, it would never misjudge its prey. And the bald eagle in Eastern North America usually feeds on rabbits or ground mice on the ground, with no bird species in the air to compete with it. It shouldn't have gone to grab Batman in mid-air."

Night Owl silently cursed again in his heart. What a great move to turn guest into host! The Primary Universe Batman said it so clearly, obviously suspecting someone meddled, maybe even suspecting him.

Of course, Night Owl also suspected this was done by the Primary Universe Batman, but the key was, he had no evidence and notably lacked public support. And after Lego Batman was caught, the Primary Universe Batman led the rescue, even rushed into the dangerous Magic Forest, washing away most of the suspicion from himself.

In contrast, him hesitating to pursue and only following slowly later made him appear quite suspicious. If by any chance evidence left by him was found near the cabin, even if not enough to expose Saphire, he could be accused of harming a fellow student, or at the least, kicked out of school.

He couldn't sit back and wait for doom. Night Owl gritted his teeth. He had just begun dabbling in Black Magic; despite its difficulty, Saphire recently disclosed many things about contracts, which should surely help him gain great power through a contract. With power, everything would be easier. He couldn't afford to give up at this crucial juncture.

How exactly should he break out of the predicament? Night Owl's brain started running rapidly. Many methods popped into his mind but were dismissed. Right now, he really had too few chips, and was very weak, hard to continue.

At present, the only one who could help him was Saphire. That guy is a Black Magician capable of making sneaky moves under the Supreme Magician's nose; he must have him rush to the cabin in advance to erase the traces.

This is not just for Night Owl's well-being. Letting so many Batman rush into his cabin for a search, he would definitely be exposed. The two of them are now grasshoppers tied to the same rope, he couldn't let him not exert himself.

But how to contact him? Night Owl felt a headache coming on. That guy's cunning, several times while learning he expressed a desire for his contact info, but it was brushed off by him each time. Now it's only him making one-sided contact, nothing can rely on him if something goes wrong.

But Night Owl calmed down and thought again. After all, Saphire is a master of Black Magic, possessing very powerful strength, not someone easily messed with, more unlikely not to set any defenses near his base. Ever since Night Owl entered the Magic Forest for the first time, he noticed this guy's activity range covered the entire forest, with traces left everywhere.

This proves his strong control over the Magic Forest. Any disturbance here should be spotted by him. Meaning, as long as Night Owl stirred up a bit of movement, he might come to check the situation. Once he found a group of students approaching his base, he'd surely take some measures to cover it up.

Thinking of this, Night Owl began observing the surrounding environment. Upon inspection, he noticed some clues. He didn't know whether the timing was wrong, but the Magic Forest seemed to undergo some changes, the plant species and style differed from when he came at night.

What he didn't know was, under the director's instruction, the props team rearranged the Magic Forest based on the Primary Universe Batman's illustrated manual. He mistakenly thought there was some mysterious restriction within the forest, making each person's view different.

Suddenly, behind the big tree to his right hand, he saw a tall plant. A picture flashed in his mind — the illustrated manual seemed to record this plant as a highly aggressive Venus Flytrap. Any moving object approaching its defense range would be frantically attacked.

Night Owl smiled slightly. While the Primary Universe Batman was heading forward focusing ahead, he secretly pulled out his Magic Wand and pointed it at the Venus Flytrap.

"Ouch!"
