Madeline peeked from the window as she watched the guests enter the flower garden at Glassmist Castle. She saw plenty of familiar faces, along with some she didn't know as well.

Lance had insisted they invite the nobles, even though most weren't active in their roles. They just had the title and became friends because they had similar upbringings.

'I hope my guests aren't too intimidated by them,' Madeline thought. 'Lance and I have completely different social backgrounds.'

"Maddy, don't stand there! Some of the guests might have seen you!"

Chloe's energetic voice startled Madeline. She turned her head and saw the plump lady wearing a purple dress according to the dress code.

Chloe looked gorgeous in it, especially when she gently swayed the feather fan to fight the summer heat in the castle.
