Chapter 74: Haki Training Notes

Ahed's knee!

Is this how you do business?!

Doflamingo's fingers twitched slightly. He restrained his urge to attack further and halted his flying ability. He landed on the ground and gestured to dismiss his family executives.

"Fufufufu… White Ghost, I wonder what brings you to the Donquixote Family?"

Despite his confusion over why this White Ghost from the West Blue knew about his Celestial Dragon status, Doflamingo decided to set aside his doubts after weighing their strengths.

As long as he wasn't a World Government agent sent to kill him, that was all that mattered.

Moreover, considering the insult "lazy trash" from earlier, Doflamingo concluded that this legendary figure from the West Blue was unlikely to be aligned with the World Government.

That was enough!

Seeing that Doflamingo did not mention the destruction of the auction house or the defeat of the Donquixote family members, Adrian immediately understood that Doflamingo was planning to put the previous events behind him.

Truly an unconventional pirate, adaptable and flexible, or he was just holding it in.

Whether it is the future 'Heavenly Yaksha' or the current 'Sea Rogue,' he always carries a strong merchant spirit.

With a casual smile, Adrian descended to the ground and looked at Doflamingo. His gentle voice carried a firm intention.

"Firstly, I need a clear answer to a question. As the winner, it's only fair to claim 'spoils of war' from the loser, right?"

Doflamingo paused for a moment, then nodded slowly, saying, "Certainly."

Adrian smiled slightly and stated his purpose, "So, I want two things: the methods for using Armament Haki and Observation Haki."

"No problem!"

Upon hearing this, Doflamingo didn't hesitate, immediately agreeing. There was even a hint of relief in his response.

Originally, he thought this White Ghost would demand excessively, taking a big chunk from the Donquixote family. But surprisingly, he only asked for the methods to practice two types of Haki.

If Doflamingo could persuade the formidable loner White Ghost to join the Don Quixote Family, it would be a stroke of luck! Even if he couldn't, it was still crucial to establish a good relationship with White Ghost in advance!

...

That evening, within the central tower of Sreed Island.

In the grand banquet hall, a lengthy table occupied the center stage, laden with an array of delectable dishes echoing the flavors of the North Blue. Cellared wines from the islands of the North Blue flowed freely.

Onstage, before the expansive table, a troupe of dancers adorned in silver heels and vibrant dresses swayed with sinuous grace, their movements reminiscent of rolling waves, captivating all who watched.

Doflamingo could easily be deemed the foremost connoisseur of pleasure in the pirate world, particularly when it came to women.

At least, that was his reputation.

Adrian maintained his composure, partaking of the North Blue delicacies before him with courtesy, occasionally stealing glances to admire the elegant dance performances nearby.

"Hehehe… The flavors are exquisite. Would you care for some wine?" Doflamingo approached, a wine glass in one hand and a seductive companion in the other, extending hospitality to Adrian as the banquet's host.

"I don't smoke, but wines… I indulge occasionally," Doflamingo remarked.

Adrian politely declined with a raised hand.

"Rather than indulging in these pleasures, I'd prefer to swiftly acquire two Haki training methods."

"Hehehe... I've already prepared that." Doflamingo produced a brand new black notebook from his pocket and handed it to Adrian. "This contains my insights and experiences in practicing Armament Haki and Observation Haki, including the experiences of Trebol and others."

To be frank, Doflamingo still found it somewhat incredulous that White Ghost, at this stage, remained unfamiliar with Haki, and that he himself had been bested by someone lacking its use.

Adrian fetched a napkin, dabbing at the corner of his mouth before accepting the notebook, casually perusing its contents. {It feels too gentlemanly.}

The pristine white pages, adorned with fresh ink, hinted that this 'Haki Training Manual' had just been penned.

At the same time, a notification appeared on the panel.

[Acquired skill scrolls [Armament Haki] / [Observation Haki], do you want to learn?]

[Note: Direct learning requires spending 4 skill points; self-study can reduce the corresponding skill point consumption.]

A skill scroll available for direct learning?

It was a novel encounter indeed.

It seems Doflamingo didn't pull any tricks, but instead made sure to record everything meticulously...

Suppressing his urge to immediately delve into Haki training, Adrian gave a slight nod to Doflamingo.

"I'll be sticking around in the North Blue for a bit longer. Here's to hoping the Razor Gang and the Donquixote Family can work together smoothly."

"Fufufufufufu... Here's to a fruitful partnership!"Doflamingo chuckled, raising his wine glass and downing its contents in one gulp.

...

Now that he had the method to train in both types of Haki, success was just a matter of time. Adrian's primary goal for being in the North Blue had been mostly achieved.

Several days passed in a flash.

The cooperative agreement between the Razor Gang and the Donquixote Family was nearly settled, and they had successfully procured a substantial amount of firearms and weaponry. Adrian said his farewells to Sreed Island and the Donquixote Family, officially embarking on his journey to gather experience points in the North Blue.

The enthusiasm of the North Blue adventurers nearly overwhelmed Adrian. Initially, they believed Adrian's shop was exclusive to West Blue players, but they were surprised to see him in the North Blue too!!

For a while, the experiences and Beli amassed by North Blue adventurers flowed into Adrian's pockets effortlessly.

After visiting the novice village in the North Blue, Adrian stuck to his original plan and headed to the East Blue to continue gathering experiences.
